AVANTGARDE Media/Entertainment

Lead Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding (m/f/d)

Remote Full-time

…you’ll be building something that doesn’t yet exist here: a shared recruitment division for our retail touchpoints across Germany and our agency divisions. You’ll shape how we attract talent in future: through shared processes, standards and key performance indicators. You’ll lead your recruitment team both in terms of discipline and expertise, filling roles in shops and retail spaces as well as in project management, creative and consultancy, whilst raising AVANTGARDE’s profile as an employer.

You’ll report to the Head of Talent & Culture and act as the main point of contact for recruitment matters for the management teams of our German subsidiaries. In short: you’ll build, lead and recruit, ensuring that our teams in stores, retail spaces and at the agency start out with the right people. Structure of the recruitment stream: You will consolidate recruitment for Frontline and the agency into a single unit and introduce standardised processes, standards and key performance indicators.

Leadership: You will provide both line management and professional guidance to your recruitment team, allocate and prioritise vacancies, and develop the team further. Recruitment & Prioritisation: Together with senior management, you will prioritise vacant roles, new store and retail space openings, and new projects; you will manage the selection process and conduct interviews yourself. Employer Branding & Channels: You will be responsible for campaigns, the careers page, LinkedIn, job portals and our referral programme, and will allocate the budget where it has the greatest impact.

Key Figures & Reporting: You define KPIs such as time-to-hire and cost per hire, identify bottlenecks at an early stage and report to the Talent & Culture management team and to our clients. Clients & Interfaces: You coordinate recruitment matters with our clients and work closely with other HR teams, such as HR Services and HR Training. Experience: You have several years’ experience in recruitment, ideally including initial experience in the technical or line management of recruiters, preferably at an agency, a HR or sales service provider, or in a retail chain.

Broad recruitment experience: You have filled numerous roles simultaneously under time pressure, for example during new branch openings or project launches, and have sourced specialist and managerial staff through active sourcing. Structure & employer branding: You have established or restructured recruitment processes and managed employer branding campaigns and job portals. Methods & Tools: You are confident in conducting structured interviews and managing recruitment KPIs, work with applicant tracking systems (ideally Personio), and are familiar with the AGG and GDPR.

Experience with AI-powered recruitment tools is an advantage. Personality: You are confident when interacting with candidates, managers and clients, enforce standards and maintain a clear overview even when managing multiple simultaneous recruitment processes. Languages & Travel: You have business-fluent German and a good command of English, and travel as required to various locations, agency offices and client meetings.
