We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Developer to help lead the design, development, deployment, and management of solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, and AWS ecosystems. This role requires deep expertise in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, Dataflows, Azure Functions, and security architecture, with a strong understanding of enterprise-grade app development and governance.
Beyond low-code, this role builds custom AI-powered services, including LLM integrations and intelligent document processing (OCR/OMR), that extend the platform past its native capabilities and turn complex, unstructured data into reliable, automated workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain custom Azure Functions in C# or Python to extend the Power Platform with serverless APIs, background processing, AI integrations, and complex business logic, exposed through custom connectors for use across apps and flows.
- Design and build advanced Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps
- Develop and manage Power Automate flows for business process automation
- Create and maintain Dataflows for data ingestion and transformation
- Architect and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, and metadata
- Implement and manage security roles, field-level security, and user access controls
- Package and deploy solutions using Power Platform Solutions for ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
- Integrate Power Apps with external data sources (SQL, SharePoint, APIs, etc.)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
- Monitor app performance and usage to troubleshoot issues. Implement enhancements, and deliver new features within established timelines
- Ensure compliance with governance policies and best practices
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and citizen developers
- Ensure continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to optimize app performance, usability, and integration with other systems.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects to validate technical feasibility and ensure scalable, maintainable designs
- Facilitate backlog grooming sessions, translating business requirements into actionable user stories and technical tasks.
- Use large language models (LLMs) and AI coding assistants to speed up development, debugging, documentation, and data transformation, while validating every AI-generated output for accuracy, security, and maintainability
- Design, build, and deploy custom AI-powered services (e.g., Azure Functions or other serverless APIs) that call LLMs and vision models to solve business problems the Power Platform can’t handle natively
- Build/maintain intelligent document processing pipelines that combine OCR (text extraction) and OMR (mark/checkbox/bubble recognition) with LLM-based interpretation to turn scanned forms, invoices, and handwritten documents into structured, validated data
- Integrate AI services into Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse through custom connectors and APIs, so AI capabilities are reusable across solutions
- Ensure AI usage complies with data privacy, security, and responsible-AI governance policies, including handling of sensitive data in prompts and model connectors
- Evaluate and compare AI models and services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Anthropic, open-source models, etc.) for accuracy, cost, latency, and data-handling requirements
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic development tools to speed up delivery, while owning the quality, security, and maintainability of everything shipped
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform
- Expert-level proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) and Power Fx
- Strong experience with Power Automate, including complex flow logic and connectors
- Deep understanding of Dataverse architecture, table design, and data modeling
- Experience with Power BI, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or custom connectors
- Experience with Dataflows,(Power Apps, Fabric) including scheduled refreshes and transformations
- Experience building production applications that call LLM or AI APIs directly, not only through low-code AI features
- Hands-on experience with document AI: OCR, form/field extraction, and handling of poor-quality scans, handwriting, or non-standard layouts
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, structured output (JSON schemas, function/tool calling), and techniques to reduce hallucinations
- Experience building and deploying Azure Functions (or equivalent serverless compute) in C# or Python, including authentication, error handling, logging, and monitoring
- Ability to critically review AI-generated code and outputs, and to design testing that measures AI accuracy over real-world data
- Experience with JSON, REST/SOAP, Python, C++#, SQL
- Knowledge of security roles, business units, and environment-level permissions
- Familiarity with solution management, versioning, and deployment strategies
- Ability to integrate with Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party services
- Solid understanding of governance, compliance, and environment strategy
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Quick to learn and adapt, resourceful
- Strong experience in table management, data transformation and mapping.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate or Power Platform Developer Associate
Experience in AWS and Amazon SQS
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for Power Platform
- Background in enterprise IT, data architecture, or business analysis
- Experience managing AI costs and token usage, rate limits, and model versioning in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge of responsible-AI practices: PII handling, data residency, audit trails, and governance for AI-driven decisions
