Construct Digital Technology/Software

Junior Art Director

Singapore, Singapore In person Full-time

Who We Are

Construct is the agency for modern marketers. We've designed our process, culture, and team to support people doing meaningful work and growing their capabilities. If you're starting your career, this is a place where you'll learn, contribute, and develop real expertise.

We’re looking for an early-career creative to join our Singapore team as a Junior Art Director. You'll work alongside senior creatives, writers and strategists on real client work from day one.

We're not expecting you to know everything. We expect you to want to learn everything. The nature of creative work is changing fast, and AI is a big part of why. The people who'll do best here are the ones who find that exciting. You're already playing with new tools, you're curious about what they can do for an idea, and you want to work somewhere that takes them seriously.

Fresh graduates are very welcome. We care about your potential and the thinking behind your work, not a particular background.

What We're Looking For

  • Curiosity over credentials: You ask why, you try things, you go down rabbit holes.
  • AI-curious: You've started weaving AI into how you think and make, and you want to go much further.
  • Hungry to learn: Feedback makes you better, not defensive. You'll learn the craft, the strategy and the tools all at once.

Responsibilities

You will

  • Support the development of creative concepts and visual directions across digital campaigns, brand assets and integrated marketing projects
  • Create and refine layouts, graphics, social assets and storyboards, and prepare presentation materials
  • Use AI tools to explore ideas, build mood and prototypes, and speed up production. Experiment, share what works with the team, and learn from what doesn't.
  • Keep up with new creative AI tools and bring the interesting ones back to the team
  • Learn from senior creatives, writers and strategists; understand the thinking behind the work
  • Keep our work consistent with brand guidelines across every touchpoint
  • Take part in client reviews and internal critique sessions, and apply feedback constructively
  • Organise and document our creative processes (help us work better)
  • Bring ideas for improvement; help us continuously raise the bar

Requirements

Required

0 to 1 year of experience; fresh graduates welcome, and internships, freelance work, student projects and personal projects all count

A diploma or degree in Design, Visual Communication, Advertising or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

A portfolio is a must, but it doesn't need to be work that ran. Sketches, student briefs, personal projects, half-finished ideas and notebook pages all count. We're far more interested in the quality of your thinking than in production values. Show us the idea and how you got there.

Working knowledge of design tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Strong visual storytelling skills and an interest in how design supports marketing outcomes

Strong communication skills and the ability to organise your work and meet deadlines

A real curiosity about AI in creative work, and some evidence you've acted on it. A personal project, an experiment or a workflow you've tried all count. Polish isn't the point. Trying is.

Openness to feedback and a habit of learning fast

Nice to have

Evidence of taking initiative (competitions or student initiatives)

Experience creating brand guidelines or social media content

Basic motion or video editing skills

How We'll Assess You

As part of the process, we'll ask you to walk us through one piece of work and how you got there. Bring the messy stuff too: rough sketches tell us more than polished finals. We're more interested in your thinking and how you learn than a finished result.

Why Join Construct

Most agencies put early-career hires in execution-only roles. They execute tasks and don't understand the thinking behind the work. We do things differently.

At Construct, you'll learn by doing real work across strategy, execution, and outcomes. This means:

Real learning: You won't just produce layouts; you'll understand the thinking. Why did we choose this idea? What's the client trying to achieve? How does this campaign impact their business? You'll learn the strategic side alongside craft, and how to direct AI tools well.

Sustainable growth: We invest in mentoring and development because we believe strong people are built, not hired. You'll have guidance, room to experiment, and real feedback.

Your ideas matter: We want you thinking beyond your job description. See a better way to run a critique or organise our files? Bring it up. Your suggestions get heard and implemented.

Space to think: AI and good systems take on repetitive production such as resizing and versioning, and we're intentional about protecting time for learning and thinking, not just doing.

What We Offer

Professional development budget - You'll receive an annual training subsidy to build skills that matter for your role. You'll also learn through internal training and regular brown-bag sessions with the team.

Structured mentoring and development - You'll have guidance from experienced team members, regular feedback and quarterly check-ins, so you always know how you're progressing and what to work on next.

Real exposure to strategy and client impact - From early on, you'll understand why the work matters, not just what to do, by seeing how campaigns are planned and how creative decisions make a difference for clients.

Opportunity to grow into the kind of professional you want to be - We invest in people who are curious and take initiative, and we give you room to experiment, learn and shape your own path.

Mental wellness - On top of annual and sick leave, you'll have 7 days of planned mental health breaks a year to look after yourself.

If you're curious, hungry to learn, and excited about where AI is taking creative work, this is a great place to start your career.
