Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Purpose

As a D&IT Product Delivery Manager in the Delivery Excellence Office (DEO), you will turn product direction into coordinated, production-ready delivery across one or more products and platforms. Partnering with the Product Manager and Product Owner, who retain business priority and acceptance decisions, you will align teams, dependencies, controls, and release readiness to deliver measurable outcomes in a complex global environment.

As Digital & IT evolves from a project-based model to one supporting both projects and products, you will help shape how we deliver. You will bring DEO's delivery rigor to iterative product delivery, helping teams deliver value sooner, learn from real-world results, and sustain outcomes over time.

Key Responsibilities

Apply Technical Product Management expertise to partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, architects, and engineering leads on technical roadmaps, platform and integration dependencies, non-functional requirements (such as security, performance, scalability, and supportability), technical debt, and build/buy/configure trade-offs. Translate these into release sequencing, readiness criteria, and clear decision options, while Product Managers and Product Owners retain accountability for product vision, prioritization, and business value.

Lead end-to-end delivery for assigned products and platforms, partnering with Product Managers and Product Owners to turn roadmaps and prioritized backlogs into transparent, achievable release plans that align roadmap outcomes, customer needs, and enterprise commitments, while preserving Product Owner authority.

Manage delivery cadence, release sequencing, capacity, milestones, and cross-product dependencies; facilitate planning, review, and readiness forums, remove impediments to team flow, and coordinate business, architecture, engineering, security, quality, compliance, finance, vendor, and operations partners to resolve constraints and assure integrated delivery.

Embed controls and lead release readiness, including testing, approvals, compliance evidence, cutover, support handoff, and documented Go/No-Go decisions.

Provide clear leadership reporting on product health, risks, dependencies, and readiness; manage delivery budgets, forecasts, and vendor commitments.

Use delivery data, feedback, and approved tools (including AI-enabled) to improve flow, quality, and predictability, and contribute to DEO standards and playbooks.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience leading implementation delivery in IT, digital, product, program, or project environments, including complex cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience delivering across multiple products, platforms, and teams in a matrixed enterprise, partnering directly with Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, hybrid, and traditional methods.
  • Experience leading release planning, dependency and risk management, transition-to-support, and executive reporting; managing budgets, forecasts, and vendors.
  • Experience meeting governance, audit, security, privacy, and compliance requirements; SOX and NIST-aligned controls strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills with senior leaders.
  • Global manufacturing environment; based in or able to work from Charlotte, NC or Corning, NY.

  • Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO®, PSPO™, SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, or comparable).

Experiences/Education - Desired

Certifications such as PMI-ACP®, PMP®, or advanced Product Owner, Agile, product-management, change-management, or AI-related credentials.

Direct involvement in a transformation from project/waterfall delivery to a product-centric, Agile, or hybrid model, including funding or capacity models, portfolio alignment, outcome measurement, and lifecycle governance.

Experience with large-scale enterprise platforms, such as ERP, service management, data, or digital ecosystems.

Experience with tools such as Planview, Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or AgilePlace.
