Position Summary
CVS Health’s Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC) organization tackles complex challenges at the intersection of healthcare and technology. We use advanced analytics, machine learning, modeling, and hypothesis-driven approaches to turn data into actionable insights that drive growth, improve outcomes, and increase access to care across CVS Health. Our teams build next-generation data and machine learning platforms and software products that help power CVS Health to make healthier happen for 100+ million customers.
A&BC is expanding its Product function and seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the design of workflow and user experience improvements for Aetna’s internal clinicians. You will focus on simplifying how clinicians work, automating manual tasks, and finding efficiencies, using AI and analytics where they make the work faster and easier. Success in this role depends on building trusted relationships with clinicians, operational leaders, and technical partners, and aligning them around a shared direction.
The role requires strong experience in workflow design and user experience, exceptional stakeholder management, close partnership with design, engineering, and data science, and sound analytical judgment.
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for clinician-facing workflow tools, with a focus on usability, efficiency, and clinician satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, medical directors, operations leaders, and executive sponsors.
- Align diverse stakeholders with competing priorities around a common roadmap, and manage expectations, trade-offs, and communication throughout the product lifecycle.
- Lead user research, workflow observation, usability testing, and SME interviews to understand how clinicians work today and where friction, rework, and manual effort occur.
- Map current- and future-state workflows, and translate findings into prioritized improvements to the experience.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive tasks and to reduce steps, handoffs, and time per case.
- Partner with UX/design to shape interaction design, prototypes, and usability standards, and ensure designs reflect real clinical workflows.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements for engineering, data science, and business teams.
- Where AI or analytics can improve the experience, define requirements and success criteria in partnership with data science, keeping the clinician workflow as the starting point.
- Define and track product metrics such as time-on-task, task completion, adoption, usability and satisfaction scores, and error or rework rates, and use them to prioritize and show impact.
- Partner with readiness teams to lead pilot design, phased rollouts, and change management for frontline clinical teams, including training, communication, and feedback loops.
- Present progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership, and support business case development and roadmap planning.
- Coordinate dependencies across engineering, design, data science, clinical operations, and compliance.
- Lead day-to-day planning and champion Agile best practices.
- Promote best practices in product management and contribute to A&BC’s product-focused transformation.
