Working closely with technical personnel, functional subject-matter experts, program managers, users, and senior leaders, the Technical Business Analyst analyzes business problems, evaluates processes and systems, develops recommendations, and supports the design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of R&D capabilities. The selected candidate will maintain and expand technical proficiency in areas relevant to the organization’s mission, such as data analytics, automation, digital transformation, systems integration, artificial intelligence-enabled tools, and product delivery methods.

  • Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, data-flow diagrams, business rules, decision logs, requirements traceability matrices, and other analytical products

Technical Team Integration

  • Operate as a core member of a multidisciplinary technical team and foster productive collaboration between business stakeholders and technical personnel.
  • Support Agile, iterative, DevSecOps, human-centered design, or other product-development approaches, as applicable

  • Support system demonstrations, user acceptance testing, pilot programs, operational assessments, and post-implementation reviews
  • Assist in identifying data quality issues, integration requirements, interface dependencies, and user-experience considerations affecting solution delivery

Project Leadership

  • Serve as a project lead, product lead, integrated project team lead, or senior analyst for assigned R&D efforts
  • Plan, coordinate, track, and report project activities, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, resource needs, and dependencies
  • Facilitate meetings, working groups, requirements workshops, demonstrations, sprint reviews, and stakeholder engagements
  • Coordinate activities among technical developers, data analysts, engineers, cybersecurity personnel, functional users, program managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support development of project charters, integrated schedules, implementation plans, test plans, deployment plans, performance measures, and sustainment recommendations
  • Prepare concise decision-ready briefings, read-a heads, executive summaries, status reports, and recommendations for senior leaders
  • Other duties as assigned
