In this role, you will manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for high-volume healthcare operational and physician agreements—primarily Medical Director Agreements, physician services contracts, and related amendments. You will lead intake discussions with operational leaders, draft and negotiate contract terms using established playbooks, and partner with in-house counsel and compliance teams to ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory frameworks.

Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation
Draft, review, and negotiate moderately complex healthcare agreements, amendments, assignments, and renewals (including Medical Director Agreements and physician service arrangements) utilizing standard templates and approved fallbacks.
Identify non-standard terms, exceptions, and business risks in physician contract requests, collaborating with in-house attorneys to evaluate and structure appropriate resolutions.
Prepare formal correspondence, notices, and legal documentation related to contractual rights and obligations.
Operational Legal Support & Intake
- Partner with regional operations directors and division vice presidents to lead intake and strategy calls for new and renewing healthcare contracts.
- Provide preliminary guidance to field leadership on contract interpretation, standard operating procedures, and company policies, escalating complex legal questions to supervising attorneys.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between field operations, corporate compliance, and legal leadership.
Compliance Collaboration & Quality Assurance
Partner closely with healthcare compliance teams to verify physician qualifications, licensing, conflict of interest reviews, and Fair Market Value (FMV) standards.
Ensure all physician contracting workflows adhere to federal and state healthcare regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law guardrails.
Contract Lifecycle Management & Process Improvement
- Oversee end-to-end contract administration within enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) databases and electronic signature platforms.
- Track agreement milestones, renewal timelines, and expiration schedules to ensure timely contract execution.
- Contribute to legal operations initiatives, including updating contract playbooks, refining standard templates, and identifying opportunities for process automation and workflow efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant paralegal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm environment.
- Substantive experience with commercial contracting, physician agreements, or healthcare operational transactions strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software and e-signature tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
