The Business Manager supports the Middle East leadership team by translating strategic priorities into disciplined execution. The role acts as a trusted partner to the Sub-Region Head and Team Heads, connecting business performance, governance, risk management, management information and change delivery.

The position provides broad exposure to senior stakeholders and coordinates across Coverage, Investment Management, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Products, Operations and other infrastructure functions. It is accountable for high-quality analysis, transparent reporting, effective follow-through and timely escalation of material issues.

Responsibilities

  • Management support and governance
  • Act as a key point of contact for the Middle East Market and Sub-Regional Head on business management, strategic, financial, risk and operational topics.
  • Coordinate the regional management rhythm, including agendas, materials, decisions, action tracking and follow-up for management, strategy, market review and leadership forums.
  • Prepare concise, decision-oriented updates and presentations for senior management and relevant governance bodies.
  • Support the development, implementation and monitoring of market, location and client-segment strategies.
  • Maintain clear ownership, deadlines and escalation paths for key actions, dependencies and open decisions.
  • Business performance and financial management
  • Monitor revenues, Net New Assets, Net New Loans, client acquisition, assets under management and other agreed key performance indicators against plan and forecast.
  • Partner with Finance and Performance Management to support accurate management information, revenue attribution, forecasting, variance analysis and performance commentary.
  • Produce data-driven insights on current performance, emerging trends, opportunities and execution gaps.
  • Support annual planning and target-setting, ensuring objectives are translated into measurable desk and team-level ambitions.
  • Coordinate targeted book reviews and commercial initiatives designed to strengthen client penetration, revenues and asset growth.
  • Sales management and client development
  • Drive a consistent sales operating rhythm across the Middle East, including pipeline review, prospect management, client acquisition and funding progress.
  • Maintain transparent and decision-useful prospect and opportunity reporting, with clear next steps, owners and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate follow-up on relevant client leads and referrals, including requests received through Deutsche Bank channels.
  • Promote disciplined use of client analytics and business intelligence to identify actionable opportunities.
  • Products and platform connectivity
  • Connect Coverage teams with Investment Management and Products to support the delivery of relevant investment and product content.
  • Coordinate communication on product launches, subscription timelines, availability and client-facing materials.
  • Identify platform, product and training needs and facilitate resolution with the relevant product and infrastructure partners.
  • Support effective follow-through on commercial opportunities while ensuring alignment with applicable suitability, cross-border and control requirements.
  • Risk, controls and operational execution
  • Embed risk and control considerations into business planning and execution, without assuming responsibilities owned by independent control functions.
  • Coordinate business input for audits, reviews, remediation activities and governance requests; track actions through to evidenced completion.
  • Identify operational issues, dependencies and blockers, and escalate material risks or delays to the appropriate owner or governance forum.
  • Support Market Purity governance and related coordination in line with applicable policies, controls and approvals.
  • Support the business travel approval process by coordinating requests with relevant stakeholders and helping ensure required approvals are in place before travel.
  • Partner with relevant functions on client lifecycle, onboarding, KYC, cross-border, conduct and other business-control priorities.
  • Support consistent implementation of policies, procedures and management decisions across the Middle East coverage organization.
  • Change and strategic initiatives
  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional projects and business initiatives from definition through implementation and benefits tracking.
  • Develop clear project plans, governance, milestones, decision points, risk logs and status reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement and simplification of business-management processes, reporting and controls.
  • Facilitate collaboration across onshore and offshore locations and ensure regional initiatives reflect local requirements and constraints.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise materials for senior management.
