About the Role

Join Dexcom’s global web engineering team, building the digital experiences behind Dexcom.com and Stelo.com. Our work supports products that help people better understand and manage their health.

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Web Platform Developer who enjoys building reliable software and helping other engineers succeed. You’ll contribute to architecture and technical decisions, ship production code, improve testing and delivery practices, and work with business partners to translate their needs into practical solutions.

This is an individual-contributor role. Technical leadership means mentoring, thoughtful code reviews, and leading by example—not managing direct reports.

What You’ll Do

  • You will design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and services using Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, including event-driven architectures and integrations.
  • You will help shape technical designs and engineering standards, balancing business needs with maintainability, security, and reliability.
  • You will mentor engineers and provide constructive code reviews that improve both the software and the team’s capabilities.
  • You will build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices to make releases safer and more repeatable.
  • You will develop and support cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform; experience with AWS is also valued.
  • You will partner with Marketing and other business teams to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • You will collaborate with engineers across North America and overseas teams, supporting effective delivery across time zones.
  • You will work with platform vendors to resolve issues, improve service quality, and advocate for Dexcom’s needs.
  • You will contribute to planning and delivery, identify risks early, and follow through on production issues and preventive improvements.
  • You will maintain clear technical documentation so teammates and new hires can understand, operate, and extend the systems we build.

What You Bring

  • You have seven or more years of experience developing and delivering production software, including at least three years providing technical leadership or mentoring engineers.
  • You have strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • You have hands-on experience designing and working with event-driven architectures.
  • You have experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working with a major cloud platform such as GCP or AWS.
  • You have experience collaborating with geographically distributed engineering teams.
  • You have strong communication skills and experience working directly with non-technical business stakeholders.
  • You have sound problem-solving skills, independent judgment, and ownership of your work from implementation through production.
  • You have experience using Jira or a similar tool to plan and track engineering work.
  • You are proficient in both Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • You have experience with React, Node.js, Django, or Flask.
  • You have experience with cloud services such as Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, or comparable AWS services.
  • You have experience with automated testing, application security, dependency scanning, and secrets management.
  • You have experience developing software in healthcare, medical-device, or other regulated environments.

What you’ll get

  • A front row seat to life changing CGM technology. Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community.
  • A full and comprehensive benefits program.
  • Growth opportunities on a global scale.
  • Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.
  • An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
