Scrum Master Delivery Lead

Surry Hills, Australia Hybrid Contract

Location: NSW - SHS 2 Holt Street Surry Hills

What's the role?

Step into an exciting, high-impact 12 month contract role delivering a high-profile digital transformation program for editorial content planning and creation. Working alongside the Senior Project Manager, you will support day-to-day delivery across key streams like newsroom planning and content authoring.

This is a varied, fast-moving role suited for someone with strong delivery experience ready for more responsibility. You will juggle multiple priorities, collaborate closely with technical teams, product owners, and business stakeholders, connect internal scrum squads with adjacent streams, keep work moving, surface and clear roadblocks, and ensure delivery stays on plan.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the dedicated scrum master for your streams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate day-to-day delivery across multiple internal squads to keep them aligned, focused, and unblocked.
  • Maintain stream roadmaps, plans, estimates, schedules, risks, and issues, dynamically updating them as priorities shift and proactively resolving or escalating risks before they impact delivery.
  • Track deliverable status, hold teams accountable to agreed scope, timeframes, and commitments, and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders while supporting the Senior Project Manager in meeting scope, budget, and contractual requirements.
  • Set up and manage Jira tickets and boards, while maintaining accurate, useful Confluence pages and project documentation.
  • Ensure key delivery commitments are met by aligning squad outputs, managing risks and issues, and driving visibility across technical and project teams.
  • Who are you?
  • You have strong experience as a scrum master or delivery lead in a fast-paced environment, with a track record of planning and delivering to milestones.
  • You understand agile methodologies and apply them pragmatically, with experience managing roadmaps and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • You are positive, confident, energetic, and excel at building strong working relationships.
  • You learn fast, take initiative, and focus on getting the job done.
  • You communicate well, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are organised and manage your time well when handling multiple deadlines.
