At DXC Technology, our SAP practice works with customers across the UK and Europe to deliver SAP solutions that support their most important business processes.
We’re looking for an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to join our team and play a key role in helping customers get the most from their SAP Finance solutions. We’re committed to creating an inclusive working environment where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed, with support and reasonable adjustments available throughout the hiring process.
This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with customers, business users and colleagues across the wider SAP practice. You’ll be involved in understanding business needs, shaping solutions, configuring SAP and supporting customers throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll need to be comfortable working directly with clients and taking ownership of your area of SAP Finance. We’re particularly interested in people who have experience across the full project lifecycle, from proposal response, solutioning and planning through to mobilisation, implementation and delivery.
Experience of SAP S/4HANA, including S/4HANA migration programmes, would be particularly valuable.
Due to the nature of the client environment, eligibility for security clearance is required for this role. To meet the current security requirements, candidates must be sole UK nationals and have lived and worked continuously in the UK for the past five years. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals for this position.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with customers and project teams to understand their business processes and translate their requirements into practical SAP solutions.
Your role will include
Gathering and analysing business requirements and understanding how SAP ECC and S/4HANA can support the customer's Finance processes.
Working directly with clients to understand their requirements, challenge where appropriate, and validate proposed solutions.
Contributing to the wider SAP solution design, working collaboratively with colleagues across the DXC SAP practice and customer teams to keep projects moving forward. Be prepared to lead on engagements that incorporate a broader functional/technical scope requiring cross team collaboration.
Configuring SAP FICO in line with agreed business requirements and translating those requirements into clear functional design specifications.
Understanding the impact of SAP changes on business processes, reporting and user interfaces, and recommending improvements where appropriate.
Supporting customers with business process changes and improvement initiatives.
Providing ongoing SAP functional support and working with technical teams and customers to investigate and resolve functional issues.
Contributing to project activities across the full lifecycle, including proposal responses, solutioning, planning, mobilisation and implementation.
Creating and maintaining clear project and functional documentation, including Requirements Traceability Matrices, Business Process Blueprints, Configuration Documentation, Functional Specifications, Test Scripts and Training Guides.
Sharing your SAP Finance knowledge with colleagues and being open to developing your skills in new areas where customer demand requires it.
Helping to strengthen the wider DXC SAP practice by bringing your experience, ideas and knowledge to new customer opportunities and solutions.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who combines strong SAP FICO knowledge with a genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate and helping customers solve their challenges.
You’ll ideally have
Strong experience working with SAP Finance/FICO in a consulting or client-facing environment.
Experience gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into SAP solutions.
Experience of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA, with S/4HANA experience particularly valuable.
Experience supporting or contributing to S/4HANA migration programmes within your functional area.
Experience working across the full SAP project lifecycle, from proposal response and solutioning through to planning, mobilisation, implementation and delivery.
Experience managing and building relationships with client stakeholders.
Experience supporting business process change and improvement initiatives.
Strong functional configuration and documentation skills.
The confidence to work collaboratively within a project team while also taking ownership of your own area of responsibility including hands on.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical and business matters clearly to different audiences.
A practical, analytical approach to problem solving and the ability to understand the wider business impact of an SAP issue or change.
The ability to manage competing priorities and remain effective in a fast-paced project environment.
We’re also looking for people who are self-motivated, collaborative and willing to learn. As our customers' needs evolve, you may have opportunities to work in new areas of SAP Finance and develop your skills while helping us expand the capabilities of our SAP practice.
Working at DXC
This is a home-based, virtual-first role, giving you the flexibility to work from home while remaining closely connected with your customers and colleagues. There may be occasional travel for customer meetings or project requirements, but this is expected to be infrequent.
At DXC, you’ll be part of an experienced SAP community where you can share knowledge, learn from colleagues and work on a range of customer projects. We value people who are curious, collaborative and enjoy finding practical solutions to complex business challenges.
You’ll also have access to a competitive salary and flexible benefits package designed to support you both professionally and personally — including pension, private medical cover, and wellbeing programmes.
If you’re passionate about SAP Finance, enjoy working with customers and like being part of a collaborative team, we’d be really interested in hearing from you.
At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success. Our work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, individual work styles, and life circumstances. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

These emails may request recipients to provide personal information or to make payments as part of their illegitimate recruiting process. DXC does not make offers of employment via social media networks and DXC never asks for any money or payments from applicants at any point in the recruitment process, nor ask a job seeker to purchase IT or other equipment on our behalf.
