About the Team / Offering – Consulting & Engineering Services – Enterprise Applications - ETP & SAP
Enterprise Applications is where technology meets transformation. We design, deliver and modernize the enterprise application landscapes — from ERP and AI-powered platforms to cloud and hybrid environments — that help global organizations grow faster, operate smarter and compete harder. You'll work across a broad portfolio, collaborate with world-class partners and deliver outcomes that matter at scale. If you want your work to have real impact, this is the place to do it.
About the Role
DXC Technology is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to own the end-to-end data migration workstream for an international HR transformation project. In this role, you will define and govern the migration approach across SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, payroll, time management, and electronic personnel files, ensuring a consistent, well-controlled approach across all data domains.
You will coordinate functional, technical, business, and legal stakeholders, driving alignment across migration consultants, developers, integration teams, and business data owners. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for the full migration lifecycle — from source-data discovery and mapping through mock cycles, production cutover, and post-go-live stabilization — ensuring data quality, regulatory compliance, and business readiness throughout the transformation.
Beyond technical delivery, you will act as a governance owner and mentor, establishing reusable templates, controls, and lessons learned, and providing transparent reporting to leadership and stakeholders on risks, issues, and progress across the engagement.
Essential Job Functions
- Own the overall data migration strategy, scope, roadmap, delivery plan, dependencies, governance model, and acceptance criteria across the HR transformation project.
- Lead and coordinate migration consultants responsible for Employee Central, payroll, time management, and electronic personnel files, ensuring consistent standards and aligned delivery.
- Lead source-data discovery, profiling, and assessment across existing systems, document repositories, and other relevant legacy sources.
- Oversee source-to-target mapping, extraction, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, and loading activities in collaboration with functional consultants, developers, integration teams, and business data owners.
- Define migration rules for HR master data, organizational data, payroll results and balances, time data, and personnel documents according to the approved target solution and retention requirements.
- Establish data-quality controls, validation rules, reconciliation methods, and issue-resolution processes for missing, inconsistent, obsolete, or duplicate records.
- Plan and lead mock migration cycles and production migration activities, reconciliation cycles, migration-related testing, payroll validation, and formal business sign-off.
- Coordinate payroll-data validation with German payroll subject-matter experts.
- Own the migration cutover plan, including data freezes, extraction windows, delta loads, load sequencing, entry and exit criteria, rollback or contingency arrangements, and post-migration validation.
- Manage migration risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; provide transparent progress reporting and maintain complete migration documentation, audit evidence, and operational handover materials.
- Mentor migration team members and promote reusable templates, controls, and lessons learned across the engagement.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of progressive SAP HCM and/or SAP SuccessFactors experience, including substantial responsibility for HR data migration delivery.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end SAP HR data migration workstreams from discovery and design through mock cycles, production cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Practical knowledge of legacy SAP HCM data structures and SuccessFactors Employee Central data models, including personnel, organizational, employment, compensation, payroll-relevant, and time-related data.
- Experience delivering migrations involving SAP HCM and SuccessFactors Employee Central, with a strong understanding of cross-domain and source-to-target dependencies.
- Strong capability in data profiling, mapping, transformation, cleansing, load controls, reconciliation, defect management, and business acceptance.
- Experience coordinating migration across payroll and time-management processes in collaboration with functional subject-matter experts.
- Ability to define fit-for-purpose migration tooling and oversee technical delivery with developers, integration specialists, and platform teams.
- Experience leading distributed teams and managing dependencies across business stakeholders, implementation partners, and incumbent service providers.
- Experience with migration cutover planning, delta-load management, contingency planning, and production validation.
- Strong stakeholder management, documentation, governance, and communication skills, including professional English.
- Understanding of secure handling of sensitive employee and payroll data, including GDPR-related migration, retention, access-control, and audit considerations.
- Knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central data models and the tools and mechanisms used for data extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of SAP HCM master-data, organizational-management, payroll, and time-management data domains.
- Knowledge of data migration methods covering extract, transform, load, reconciliation, control totals, exception management, and sign-off.
- Understanding of integration and data-transfer technologies relevant to SAP HCM and SuccessFactors environments.
- Practical understanding of SAP Activate delivery phases and their migration deliverables.
