Assistant Accountant

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to further develop their skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the finance and accounting functions of the business. This position offers exposure to a wide range of accounting activities and the opportunity to develop your technical and commercial capabilities.

Key responsibilities include

• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Maintaining fixed asset registers
• Preparing and analysing financial reports
• Supporting internal audits and process improvements
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial data management

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role
• Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or progress towards CPA or CA accreditation
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn
• Experience in automotive retail, dealership accounting, or a multi-site environment will be highly regarded
