Engineer - Electromagnetics

What you’ll do

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform electromagnetics simulations (magnetics and dielectrics) of electrical products like circuit beakers, fuses, CCPs. Individual will be required to partner with teams located in India, Europe, US & China, understand specific design intent, develop, and validate analysis models to substantiate various engineering designs. He/She should be conversant with different products within the electrical portfolio. This position is responsible for handling medium complex technologies related to electromagentic domain, wherein incumbent is expected to independently handle requirements and deliver quality results within stipulated timelines.

The primary functions for this position include

• Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements
• Understands project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders
• Participates in development of simulation modeling methodologies in Electromagnetics domain
• Deploys developed simulation methodologies in Eaton products to strengthen “Analysis First” strategy

A. Technology Responsibilities

• Contribute towards maturing identified technical capabilities aligned to Electromagnetic domain from electrical portfolio
• Work closely with product and analysis experts to Develop and validate digital prototypes to mimic product physics and predict key CTQ’s

B. Program Responsibilities

• Ensure Analysis First deployment on low/medium complex electrical componenets/Assemblies
• Highlight apt technical and schedule risks on assigned low/medium complex programs and work towards metigating those
• Work with SME to effectively support simulation request to manage workload

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering from reputed institute

0-2 Years of working knowledge in electromagnetics/electrostatics

Skills

• Thorough knowledge of Magnetics, Electrostatics and electrical machines fundamentals with ability to perform hand calculations, results interpretation and test data correlation with simulation, Electromagnetic Simulation tool expertise, AI/ML in simulation
