JOB PURPOSE
Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer II with advanced knowledge in cloud platform expertise to support data-driven decision-making across business functions.
This hybrid role combines strong data analysis capabilities with technical development skills to create scalable, reliable reporting and analytics solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Design and develop cloud-based applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance across multiple cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions.
- Implement automation and orchestration for cloud deployments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in all cloud applications and infrastructure.
- Optimize existing cloud services for cost-effectiveness and performance improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud services and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
- Document cloud architectures, processes, and guidelines for future reference and knowledge sharing.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 5+ years
- Experience in developing and deploying applications on multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or
- Google Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Terraform.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available multi-cloud architectures across
- both AWS and Azure.
- Standardize infrastructure deployments globally using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Manage enterprise-grade secrets, encryption, and access policies using HashiCorp Vault.
- Architect and operate enterprise Kubernetes clusters leveraging AWS EKS and Azure AKS.
- Package, optimize, and secure application containers using Docker and Podman.
- Troubleshoot complex container networking, storage, and orchestration issues in production
- environments.
- Build, maintain, and modernize robust continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- using a diverse toolset including GitHub Actions, Tekton, Bamboo, and ucDeploy.
- Drive GitOps adoption and continuous delivery patterns utilizing ArgoCD.
- Implement automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates within the deployment pipelines.
- Eliminate manual operational overhead by developing clean, maintainable automation tools and scripts using Python and Shell script. 11. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application runtimes and deployment velocity.
