The NetSuite Business Systems Consulting Senior Manager is a senior client-service role responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of business systems engagements. This role leads complex NetSuite implementations while providing oversight and direction across a portfolio.

This leader provides oversight and hands-on delivery from opportunity shaping and solution design through implementation, go-live, and stabilization. The Senior Manager develops project leaders, maintains executive client relationships, assures delivery quality, manages portfolio risk and resource needs, and supports implementation delivery alongside project teams as needed.

Success in this role means a healthy and predictable project portfolio, trusted client relationships, consistent implementation quality, strong project leaders, disciplined financial management, and measurable contribution to new and expanded client opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio and Delivery Leadership
  • Oversee a portfolio of NetSuite and related business systems engagements, provide hands-on implementation support alongside project teams, and own project plans and execution.
  • Guide engagements across discovery, solution design, configuration, data conversion, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Support the seamless handoff of implemented projects to the Optimization/Ongoing Support practice.
  • Confirm that project plans, governance, decision rights, approval points, and client responsibilities are clear and actively managed.
  • Support and lead implementation workstreams to assist project teams as needed.
  • Lead or support recovery planning for at-risk engagements, including corrective actions, ownership, client communication, and follow-through.
  • Solution and Quality Leadership
  • Provide hands-on support and review of solution designs, business process recommendations, configuration decisions, integrations, data conversion approaches, reporting strategies, test plans, cutover plans, and support transition plans.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with client objectives, accounting requirements, operational processes, internal controls, scalability needs, and the capabilities of NetSuite and connected applications.
  • Promote consistent use of practice methodologies, templates, quality checkpoints, documentation standards, and approval gates.
  • Apply sound judgment to complex issues involving financial workflows, general ledger design, reporting, inventory, transaction processing, integrations, and third-party applications.
  • Balance standard platform capabilities with justified extensions and clearly communicate tradeoffs, risks, dependencies, and support implications.
  • Client and Stakeholder Leadership
  • Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors, finance leaders, operational stakeholders, and project teams across multiple client engagements.
  • Facilitate clear decisions on objectives, scope, priorities, roles, risks, and change impacts.
  • Provide concise portfolio- and engagement-level communications that make project health, decisions, risks, financial status, and next steps transparent.
  • Manage escalations with professionalism, accountability, and a solutions-oriented approach while protecting long-term client relationships.
  • Advise clients on business process improvement and technology enablement beyond immediate software configuration.
  • Financial and Commercial Management
  • Oversee engagement economics across the assigned portfolio, including budgets, forecasts, utilization, billing readiness, margin, change control, and collection-related coordination.
  • Review statements of work, proposals, estimates, assumptions, exclusions, engagement letters, and change orders for delivery feasibility and commercial clarity.
  • Ensure scope changes are identified early, quantified appropriately, documented, approved, and incorporated into delivery plans.
  • Partner with practice leadership to improve portfolio predictability, delivery leverage, staffing models, and profitability.
  • People Leadership and Practice Development
  • Develop Managers, Seniors, Associates, and other project team members through coaching, delegation, structured feedback, and exposure to increasingly complex responsibilities.
  • Participate in staffing, performance discussions, recruiting, onboarding, succession planning, and capability development for the NetSuite team.
  • Contribute to reusable assets, implementation standards, knowledge sharing, certification planning, and continuous improvement of the BSC delivery model.
  • Collaborate across service lines and departments to bring the right expertise to client needs.
  • Opportunity and Market Development
  • Identify follow-on opportunities through strong delivery, client trust, and understanding of business needs.
  • Support or lead discovery conversations, solution shaping, demonstrations, proposal development, scoping, estimating, and pursuit presentations.
  • Maintain relationships with prospects, referral sources, alliance partners, and existing clients.
  • Contribute to new offerings, market positioning, thought leadership, and growth strategies for NetSuite and the broader BSC practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, information systems, computer science, management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Substantial experience delivering ERP or financial systems consulting engagements, including responsibility for complex implementations and client outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple NetSuite implementations through discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.
  • Experience leading implementation teams and overseeing multiple concurrent engagements.
  • Strong accounting and financial process knowledge, including financial statements, general ledger, transaction processing, and operational reporting.
  • Ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, timelines, scope changes, risks, and executive client communications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
