Adobe Platform engineering

Remote Full-time

The Adobe Experience Cloud Solution Architect will translate business and customer needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable digital experience architectures.

The role will work across Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Real-Time Customer Data Platform (Real-Time CDP), Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Workfront, and related Adobe capabilities as applicable to the organization.

The architect will provide technical direction for platform integrations, customer data and identity, data collection, personalization, analytics, content management, and platform modernization. The role will also establish reusable architecture standards and evaluate emerging Adobe capabilities, including AI-enabled functionality, based on business value, technical feasibility, security, privacy, licensing, and operational considerations.

In addition to solution architecture, this position will contribute to the operational reliability of the Adobe ecosystem, including troubleshooting complex platform and integration issues and coordinating resolution across Adobe product teams and internal stakeholders.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Design end-to-end Adobe Experience Cloud solutions that translate business and customer requirements into appropriate platform capabilities, integrations, data flows, and operating models.
  • Define and maintain reference architectures, integration patterns, technical standards, and reusable implementation assets to support consistent delivery across Adobe solutions.
  • Guide technology decisions involving Adobe products, APIs, custom applications, integration platforms, and third-party technologies.
  • Document architecture decisions, dependencies, constraints, risks, and technical trade-offs.
  • Conduct solution architecture and implementation reviews covering scalability, resilience, performance, accessibility, maintainability, security, and cost effectiveness.

Adobe Experience Platform & Data Architecture

  • Define architecture and standards for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Real-Time CDP, including Experience Data Model (XDM) schemas, ingestion, identity, profiles, audiences, destinations, and activation.
  • Partner with development, analytics, and data engineering teams to establish standards for data collection, data layers, tagging, identity, measurement, and activation.
  • Define appropriate patterns for Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK, Adobe Experience Platform Tags, APIs, connectors, and related data collection capabilities.
  • Support privacy, consent, identity, and data governance requirements across customer data and personalization use cases.

AEM Architecture & Engineering

  • Define scalable implementation and integration approaches for AEM as a Cloud Service, including Sites and Assets.
  • Guide development and deployment practices involving AEM Cloud Manager, Git, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), Dispatcher, content delivery networks (CDNs), and content and asset delivery.
  • Review AEM solutions for maintainability, performance, security, scalability, and alignment with cloud-native development practices.

Integration & Development

  • Define integration patterns using REST APIs, JSON, authentication mechanisms, webhooks, event-driven services, and other applicable integration technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance for solutions using JavaScript, Java, Python, or other appropriate development technologies.
  • Ensure integrations follow appropriate security, credential management, error handling, observability, and resilience standards.

Platform Modernization

  • Assess existing Adobe implementations and identify opportunities to simplify architecture, retire technical debt, improve integration, strengthen reliability, and optimize performance and cost.
  • Develop modernization recommendations and migration approaches while minimizing business and operational disruption.
  • Ensure new solutions align with enterprise architecture and cloud engineering standards.

Innovation & Technical Evaluation

  • Evaluate and prototype relevant Adobe platform capabilities, including AI-enabled and agent-based capabilities, where applicable.
  • Define business and technical use cases and assess feasibility, measurable value, integration requirements, security, privacy, data usage, licensing, and operational impact before recommending adoption.
  • Translate successful prototypes into architecture recommendations and production implementation standards.

Security, Privacy & Governance

  • Define and apply architectural guardrails for Adobe solutions in partnership with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance teams.
  • Apply appropriate standards for identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), consent, privacy, credentials, secrets management, and data governance.
  • Ensure platform and integration designs support applicable enterprise security and privacy requirements.

Operations & Reliability

  • Ensure solution designs include release and deployment processes, monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, support ownership, runbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise for complex Adobe platform and integration incidents.
  • Work with Adobe product teams and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve cross-platform issues.
  • Contribute to operational readiness for business-critical Adobe Experience Cloud services requiring continuous availability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital experience solutions, including architecture responsibilities across multiple Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities.
  • Strong hands-on architecture experience with key Adobe technologies, with depth in one or more of the following:
  • Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service

Adobe Experience Platform / Real-Time CDP

Adobe Analytics

Adobe Target

Adobe Campaign

  • Strong understanding of digital experience architecture, including content management, customer data, analytics, personalization, and marketing technology.
  • Experience designing enterprise integrations using REST APIs, identity services, event-driven integration patterns, and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of customer data architecture, including schemas, identity, profiles, audiences, data ingestion, activation, and measurement.
  • Experience establishing architecture standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, or reusable engineering patterns.
  • Ability to evaluate architecture for scalability, resilience, performance, security, maintainability, and operational readiness.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical decisions, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and influence decisions across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
