Strategic Legal Advisor

POSITION DETAILS: Position Title: Strategic Legal Advisor Reports to (POSITION): Strategic Legal Manager Team: BSS Department: Legal Grade (If Applicable): N/A PURPOSE OF JOB: To work within the Strategic Legal Team to support the Strategic sales team, enabling Bytes to effectively and efficiently negotiate, sign off and manage customer and supplier contracts for strategic customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the end-to-end contracts process for enterprise level customers Support in the drafting and negotiation of key supplier contracts Liaising with the Strategic Legal Manager and Head of Legal on ad hoc legal issues the business is facing Support the wider Legal team with general legal tasks INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Represent Bytes in negotiation with key customer contracts Support and advise the Strategic Legal Manager on ad hoc legal matters Support the legal and compliance teams on an ad hoc basis WIDER TEAM NETWORK Internal Legal / Compliance Service Operations Non-Strategic Vendor Team Services Finance Sales Operations Sales External Customers Suppliers QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Educational Qualifications: Law Degree REQUIRED Professional Qualifications N/A DESIRABLE Years of Experience 2+ years of experience supporting an IT business in a legal capacity REQUIRED Other Requirements N/A CORE Competencies & SKILLS – BASED ON POSITION AND GRADE Outstanding communicator – articulate, succinct Ability to liaise with staff at all levels, particularly sales people and sales management High attention to detail Capable of working largely independently, but also works effectively as part of a wider team Highly organised and able to plan and manage workload, and deliver excellent results Proactive worker, focused and likes to see tasks through to completion MEASURES & GOALS OBJECTIVE MEASURE FREQUENCY Effective management of end to end contracts process Continual compliance with SLAs as determined in Cases and Customer satisfaction Ongoing Proactively and reactive support to wider business in an efficient manner Issues should not be left unnecessarily.
