Metro Credit Union Finance/FinTech

Senior Learning & Development Partner

Chelsea, MA Hybrid Full-time

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS Metro is looking for a versatile learning professional who can turn business needs into practical solutions that help employees build capability, navigate change, and perform with confidence. In this role, you'll consult with leaders, design and facilitate learning, and play an important role in preparing employees to confidently use Metro's systems, follow key processes, and perform transactions and other day-to-day work.

You'll learn complex systems and operational processes, translate them into practical learning experiences, and help employees connect what they learn in training to what they'll actually do on the job. Onboarding is an important focus, alongside employee development, change initiatives, and organization-wide capability building. You'll also use emerging technology, including AI, to improve how learning is created, delivered, and applied.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN You’ll own learning solutions from discovery through delivery and improvement, with a particular focus on onboarding, systems and transaction training, and employee capability. You’ll become fluent in the systems and processes employees need to perform their roles, then turn that complexity into clear, practical training, practice opportunities, and performance support. You’ll balance hands-on facilitation and design with strategic consultation, helping leaders identify the right response to business and performance needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Partner closely with the Manager, New Hire & Early Career Programming to strengthen and deliver components of Metro's onboarding experience. - Learn Metro's systems, transaction workflows, and operational processes deeply enough to teach employees how to apply them confidently in real work. - Facilitate hands-on systems and transaction training using realistic scenarios, guided practice, and application in classroom, virtual, and blended environments. - Translate complex system functionality and business processes into clear learning experiences, demonstrations, job aids, and resources employees can use on the job. - Partner with subject matter experts and business teams as systems and processes change to understand the impact, update learning quickly, and prepare employees for what's changing. - Design, evaluate, and redesign learning programs based on business outcomes, employee performance, and evolving organizational needs. - Consult with leaders and subject matter experts to identify business, capability, and performance needs and recommend the right solution, whether that involves training, process improvement, tools, role clarity, or another organizational response. - Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create learning experiences that drive retention and application. - Measure learning effectiveness through feedback, observation, knowledge and skill checks, and performance data, then use what you learn to continuously improve the experience.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN 12 TO 18 MONTHS - Employees leave systems and transaction training able to navigate the tools, processes, and real-world scenarios they'll encounter in their roles with confidence. - Systems training gives employees meaningful practice, not simply demonstrations, helping them connect system steps to the member or business outcome they're responsible for. - Learning materials, job aids, and reinforcement resources stay useful and current as systems and processes evolve. - Programs improve based on business results, learner feedback, skill and knowledge checks, and performance data. - Leaders and subject matter experts view you as a trusted partner who can take complex operational information and turn it into learning employees can actually use. - Onboarding and key change initiatives launch smoothly and support employee readiness.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF... - You enjoy combining facilitation, design, consultation, and relationship building. - You like getting inside a system or process, figuring out how it works, and finding a simple way to teach it to someone else. - You enjoy being in front of learners and helping them practice until they can confidently perform the work themselves. - You are curious, adaptable, and comfortable working through change and ambiguity. - You want visible ownership and the opportunity to influence how learning happens across an organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Background supporting enterprise onboarding programs or new-hire development. - Experience facilitating hands-on systems, transaction, operational process, or technology training for adult learners. - Experience translating complex workflows or technical information into practical instruction, scenarios, job aids, and performance support. - Familiarity with learning management systems, digital learning platforms, or learning technology implementations. - Ability to evaluate learning effectiveness and use data to inform improvements.

COMPENSATION $76,100 - $93,000 annually The salary range listed provides a general expectation for the role. Final compensation is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and market conditions. Compensation decisions are made in alignment with business needs and the qualifications of each candidate. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
