Core Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and supports core accounting for brand P&Ls and shared services across Authority Brands' multi-brand platform. This role prepares journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close, with a focus on accurate coding and timely, well-supported financial results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules for assigned brands and shared services Record payroll entries, including bonus, commission, and benefits accruals Prepare revenue accruals and related entries in the proper period Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner Ensure accurate department, location, and GL coding across all entries Perform flux analysis and research unusual activity prior to close Prepare PBC requests and supporting schedules for the annual audit Support process improvement and special projects as needed.
