Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from multiple source systems into GCP-based platforms

Develop and implement data transformation logic using SQL, dbt, Python, or similar tools within GCP architectures

Optimize GCP-based data solutions for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency

Establish and enforce data quality checks, validation frameworks, and comprehensive monitoring for production pipelines

Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, data architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions

Implement data governance, security controls, role-based access management, and compliance standards within GCP environments

Drive CI/CD automation and deployment processes for data engineering workflows

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all data systems and processes

5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related fields

Proven hands-on experience with GCP services and architecture in production environments

Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex query development and optimization

Strong experience designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for cloud-based data platforms

Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and automation

Demonstrated expertise with data transformation and orchestration tools (such as dbt, Airflow, Matillion, Fivetran, or Informatica)

Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional design patterns

Knowledge of security best practices, access control mechanisms, and data governance frameworks

Knowledge of performance tuning, workload management, and cost optimization strategies

Familiarity with real-time or near-real-time data ingestion patterns

Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and governance tools
