Are you ready to help shape the future of digital retail and ultra-convenience?

12 Months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity leave cover) - As our Finance Business Partner – Retail eCommerce (BWS) & Ultra Convenience, you’ll be at the heart of our digital strategy, providing commercial leadership and strategic guidance to the BWS eCommerce and Ultra Convenience leadership teams. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Retail eCommerce, you’ll help partner with key business leads to facilitate strategies that power our ~$1Bn+ eCommerce business.

From tracking the customer funnel and optimizing digital investment ROI to owning performance reporting for Ultra Convenience and omnichannel operations, you will translate complex commercial data into direct business growth.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Partner with BWS eCommerce and Ultra Convenience leaders to align commercial initiatives with group outcomes, drive strategic growth, evaluate new growth channels, and analyse investment returns while minimizing cannibalization.

Own and manage strategic financial planning, budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term outlooks, establishing early warning signals and leading proactive corrective actions.

Optimise our digital cost base including delivery & fulfillment, variable store labor, and overhead allocations to maximise directly attributable profit (DAP).

Establish and manage robust reporting frameworks (including shadow eCommerce P&Ls and Ultra Convenience metrics). Analyse key drivers across market trends, customer behavior, digital traffic, and conversion funnels.

Evaluate digital investment choices, craft compelling business cases, track post-implementation benefits, and optimise return on investment.

Partner closely with FP&A, Merchandise, Marketing, Loyalty, and Operations teams to ensure clear visibility over financial drivers and build a "team first" culture aligned with our values.

Now let’s talk about you

• 5 - 7+ years of progressive finance experience with CA/CPA qualification.
• Strong background in Retail or FMCG with a clear understanding of commercial and operational performance drivers.
• Proven track record of influencing senior business leaders, operationalising growth, and driving decision-making across digital, tech, or omnichannel environments.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with experience working alongside digital, eCommerce, or technology teams.
• The ability to simplify complex financial data into actionable strategic insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable navigating dynamic, fast-paced environments, leading financial transformation, and driving continuous process improvement.
