DevOps Team Leader

Position Overview

Position Description

Radware develops cybersecurity and application delivery solutions for physical, cloud, and software-defined data centers. Our Cloud R&D team builds and operates security services that use large-scale distributed systems, big data analytics, machine learning, and behavioral analysis to detect and mitigate cyber threats.

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Team Lead to manage the team responsible for our cloud infrastructure, deployment systems, and production reliability across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

You will own the team’s priorities and delivery, develop its engineers, and contribute directly to architecture, automation, and troubleshooting. You will also help the team use AI tools in daily engineering work, with clear expectations for testing, security, and production access.

What you will do

  • ·Manage and develop the DevOps team through hiring, onboarding, regular feedback, and career planning.
  • ·Set priorities and delivery commitments with R&D, Security, and Operations.
  • ·Lead the design and operation of highly available production environments across cloud providers and regions.
  • ·Write and review infrastructure code, make architecture decisions, and help resolve diAicult production issues.
  • ·Own CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, including automated tests, security checks, deployment verification, and rollback.
  • ·Build self-service tools and reusable deployment patterns so development teams can provision environments and release services independently.
  • ·Define service-level objectives and improve monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-incident follow-up.
  • ·Maintain disaster recovery procedures and test that services can recover as expected.
  • ·Manage capacity and cloud spending and identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • ·Introduce AI-assisted workflows for infrastructure development, testing, documentation, and incident investigation.
  • ·Set standards for reviewing AI-generated changes, handling sensitive data, and approving production actions.
  • ·Use delivery lead time, deployment failures, recovery time, and manual workload to assess where the team needs to improve.

What you bring

  • ·10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure, including 2+ years directly managing an engineering team.
  • ·Experience owning business-critical production systems in a SaaS or cloud services environment.
  • ·Hands-on experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with deep production expertise in at least one and experience leading infrastructure across multiple cloud providers.
  • ·Strong production experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including deployments, upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with EKS, AKS, and GKE.
  • ·Experience building and maintaining infrastructure as code with Terraform or an equivalent tool.
  • ·Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Argo CD.
  • ·Strong Linux and networking skills, including DNS, TLS, load balancing, routing, and cloud networking.
  • ·Strong Python and Bash skills, with experience writing tested, maintainable automation.
  • ·Experience with metrics, logs, and traces using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry.
  • ·Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and least privilege access.
  • ·Practical experience using AI tools for engineering work. You should be able to explain where they helped, how you checked their output, and when you chose not to use them.
  • ·Experience mentoring engineers, resolving competing priorities, and explaining technical decisions to other teams.
  • ·A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • An advantage
  • ·Experience with cybersecurity platforms, WAF, DDoS protection, or high-volume network services.
  • ·Experience operating Kafka, NATS, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or comparable messaging and data platforms.
  • ·Experience introducing internal developer platforms or AI-assisted automation across teams.
  • ·Familiarity with software supply chain security, policy as code, and compliance requirements.
  • ·Familiarity with 24/7 production support and on-call practices.
  • ·Experience managing cloud budgets and applying FinOps practices.
