Lead Data Scientist

We're looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE in an onsite working mode. In this role, you will lead advanced computer-vision work for video-analytics platforms. You will drive architecture decisions, guide model development and oversee production deployment. This role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful analytics solutions using machine learning in a dynamic digital environment. Responsibilities Lead computer-vision solutions for object detection, tracking, re-identification, action recognition and segmentation Drive model selection and experiments with YOLO, Transformer, ViT and RF-DETR Guide the use and fine-tuning of Vision-Language Models for CV tasks Optimize models for production using TensorRT, ONNX and OpenVINO Architect multi-camera tracking and video-analytics systems Manage the MLOps lifecycle: training, deployment and monitoring Mentor and review the code of data scientists and engineers Present technical direction and solution architecture to stakeholders Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (PhD a plus) 10+ years of applied machine-learning experience with deep computer-vision expertise Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow Proven use of YOLO, Transformer, ViT and RF-DETR architectures Experience with Vision-Language Models and fine-tuning for CV tasks Skills in model optimization: TensorRT, ONNX, OpenVINO and edge-AI constraints Track record of building multi-camera tracking and video-analytics systems Knowledge of MLOps lifecycle including training, deployment and monitoring Experience with team leadership, code review and mentoring Stakeholder communication skills Nice to have Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and advanced TensorFlow techniques Exposure to solution architecture, MLOps frameworks Proficiency with model optimization tools such as OpenVINO, ONNX Runtime and TensorRT Hands-on practice with object detection, PyTorch and Python development UAE End of service gratuity Private healthcare and life insurance Employee assistance program Wellness program Annual air travel allowance for expatriates Regular performance feedback and salary reviews Global travel medical and accident insurance Referral bonuses Learning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, and courses *All benefits and perks are subject to certain eligibility requirements
