We are looking for an experienced SAP IS-Retail Expert to strengthen our existing team and support ongoing enhancements of SAP Retail processes, with a primary focus on Article/Material Master Data, Listing, Ranging, and System Integration. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between the client, functional teams, and development teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into effective technical solutions and continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities Act as a primary point of contact for the client regarding Article/Material-related topics, gathering, analyzing, and clarifying business requirements Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and development requirements for the technical team (ABAP developers and integration specialists) Provide functional expertise in Article Master Data, Article Listing, Assortment Management, Ranging, and related SAP Retail processes Identify opportunities to optimize existing SAP IS-Retail functionality, improve data quality, and streamline business operations Support and improve Article/Material data integration between SAP and external systems, ensuring data consistency and reliable information flows Collaborate closely with developers to design solutions, clarify requirements, review implementations, and support testing Prepare test scenarios, perform functional testing, support UAT, and validate delivered enhancements against business expectations Strengthen the existing SAP team through knowledge sharing, troubleshooting, and functional guidance Requirements 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP IS-Retail, especially Article/Material Master Data and Assortment Management In-depth knowledge of Article Listing, Ranging, and related retail processes Background in SAP integrations, interfaces, and master data distribution Ability to prepare clear functional specifications for SAP development teams Proficiency in business analysis, problem-solving, and stakeholder management Experience working directly with business clients and coordinating cross-functional teams Understanding of SAP MM and its integration with SAP Retail Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher) Nice to have Experience with SAP S/4HANA Retail Knowledge of IDoc, BAPI, RFC, or API-based integrations Exposure to SAP Retail implementation, rollout, or transformation projects Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies [GTS] Benefits (generic, except India) International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Healthcare benefits Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
