Epiq Technology/Software

Cyber Security Analyst (SOC)

Remote Full-time

Location: Phoenix, AZ

At Epiq, your work contributes to complex, global legal outcomes. You’ll join a values‑driven community where integrity guides decisions, relentless service sets the bar, and we thrive on big challenges together. We invest in your growth with enterprise‑wide learning and mobility. We celebrate who you are, and we respect life beyond work with flexibility that’s recognized externally. Enabled by modern platforms and AI, you’ll do the most meaningful work of your career and see your impact at scale.

Epiq is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst(SOC) to join our global Security Operations team.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their cybersecurity career who wants to do more than simply monitor an alert queue. You’ll gain hands-on experience across incident response, threat hunting, insider risk, threat intelligence, detection engineering, vulnerability testing, and security automation while working alongside an experienced, globally distributed security team.

Our environment is Microsoft-centric, and the team is actively incorporating automation and AI into how we investigate threats and improve security operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor, triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
  • Analyze security data to determine severity, impact, and appropriate response or escalation.
  • Work with Microsoft security tools and other security technologies.
  • Conduct threat hunts using emerging threats, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and threat intelligence.
  • Investigate insider risk and suspicious user activity.
  • Participate in vulnerability testing, purple-team exercises, and detection engineering.
  • Help develop and improve detection rules, security playbooks, processes, and automation.
  • Collaborate with Security Engineering, Identity & Access Management, and other cybersecurity and IT teams.
  • Identify opportunities to use automation and emerging technologies to improve security operations.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and genuinely passionate about cybersecurity.

You could be a recent graduate who has built hands-on experience through labs, coursework, certifications, or personal projects. You could also have a year or two of professional cybersecurity experience and be looking for an opportunity to broaden your skills.

Ideally, you’ll bring

  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity and incident response.
  • Exposure to SIEM, EDR, antivirus, or other security tools.
  • Strong investigative, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • An interest in threat hunting, detection engineering, security automation, or emerging threats.
  • A willingness to learn, take ownership, and grow as the security environment evolves.
  • Microsoft security experience is a plus, not a prerequisite. Experience with platforms such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Exabeam, or other SIEM/EDR technologies can translate well to this environment

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, training, certifications, labs, or demonstrated cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Up to 3 years of cybersecurity, security operations, or related technical experience preferred.
  • Early-career candidates are encouraged to apply. Hands-on labs, coursework, workshops, certifications, personal projects, or other demonstrated cybersecurity learning can help demonstrate readiness for the role.
  • Nice to Have
  • Threat hunting, threat intelligence, or detection engineering exposure.
  • Interest in security automation, scripting, or AI-enabled security tools.
  • Microsoft SC-200, CompTIA Security+, or another relevant cybersecurity certification. Certifications are valued but are not required at the time of hire.
  • The Compensation range for this role is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
