At Epiroc, we believe that the best ideas emerge when people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives come together. We are looking for an inclusive and forward-thinking leader who is passionate about transforming market insights into commercial impact and enabling our global teams to make smarter, faster decisions.
Your Mission
As Head of Market Intelligence, the mission is to build and lead a world-class intelligence capability that gives our Customer Centers a shared understanding of customers, competitors, market developments, and commercial opportunities.
Through high-quality market, deal, and competitive intelligence, the role helps Epiroc engage with customers earlier, strengthen its competitive position, and improve commercial outcomes across the business.
Ownership of the global market intelligence framework includes developing a comprehensive view of market demand, project activity, fleet replacement trends, and customer opportunities across regions.
Equally important is establishing a robust competitor intelligence capability that provides actionable insights into products, pricing, technology developments, and strategic movements across the industry.
Salesforce plays a central role in creating visibility and alignment across the commercial organization. Responsibility for Salesforce as the trusted source of customer, deal, and pipeline information includes driving data quality, defining governance standards, and ensuring a reliable foundation for decision-making and business planning.
Close collaboration with Customer Centers around the world is essential to strengthen market intelligence and Salesforce capabilities throughout the organization.
By building knowledge, sharing best practices, and fostering a data-driven culture, the function enables commercial teams to turn insights into actions and opportunities into business results.
As a member of the Commercial Excellence leadership team, the role shapes intelligence priorities, analytical methodologies, and reporting standards.
Insights generated through the function contribute directly to commercial strategy, pricing decisions, win plans, resource allocation, and long-term business planning, helping Epiroc achieve sustainable growth in a competitive market.
Your Profile
- You are a strategic and commercially minded professional with significant experience in market intelligence, strategy, commercial analytics, or a related field, ideally within mining, industrial, capital equipment, or other complex B2B environments.
- A proven ability to establish and develop intelligence capabilities, while creating a trusted foundation for data-driven decision-making, will be key to success.
- A strong understanding of market sizing, demand forecasting, competitive analysis, and commercial performance management is complemented by a natural curiosity about customers, markets, and industry dynamics.
- Complex data and information are readily translated into clear insights, practical recommendations, and actions that support commercial success.
- Success in this position requires an analytical mindset combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to influence decisions through facts and evidence, while constructively challenging established thinking, is highly valued.
- Equally important is a commitment to high data quality standards and a pragmatic approach that balances analytical rigor with business needs.
- Collaboration comes naturally, as the role involves working across regions, functions, and cultures to align priorities and create impact.
- An inclusive leadership style, coupled with a genuine interest in developing people and capabilities, will help foster a strong market intelligence community across the organization.
- Above all, this is an opportunity for someone motivated by building something impactful, enabling better decisions, and helping shape Epiroc's future commercial success through actionable market and competitive insights.
- Excellent communication skills in English are essential as the role operates in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple regions.
