Equals Money Finance/FinTech

Technical Account Manager

London, United Kingdom Hybrid Full-time

About Equals

Equals is the next-generation global money movement platform built for exceptional businesses operating across borders. We bring international payments, embedded finance, and more together into a single connection that simplifies operations and strengthens financial control. With deep expertise and integrated infrastructure, Equals turns financial complexity into reliable solutions.

With our headquarters in London and teams around the UK and Europe, you will join a very close-knit, talented and supportive team from various backgrounds who believe that bringing different perspectives together helps us understand our customers' needs. United, by one thing, making money management straightforward and cost-effective for our customers.

About the role

Our programme managers are payment service providers, acquirers and platforms that run accounts, payments, FX or cards for their own customers on Equals, through an API integration or a white-label setup. When their integration has a problem, so do all of their customers.

As a Technical Account Manager you are the technical owner for a portfolio of these clients once they are live. You know how each one is integrated, you watch its health, you lead the technical response when something goes wrong, and you make sure changes on our side land without surprises on theirs. You work alongside the Platform Account Manager, who owns the commercial relationship, and you scope the technical side of anything new the client wants to do with us.

Responsibilities

  • Be the named technical contact for a portfolio of programme-manager clients after go-live.
  • Know each client's integration or white-label setup: endpoints, flows, volumes, dependencies and known issues.
  • Monitor integration health and act on errors, failures and degradation before the client feels them.
  • Lead the technical response to incidents with Engineering and Operations, keep the client informed, and run the post-incident review.
  • Communicate releases, API changes and deprecations, and help clients through migrations.
  • Run technical reviews alongside the account manager's business reviews.
  • Scope new products, markets and use cases for existing clients with Solutions Engineering, so expansion is technically sound.
  • Support implementation in the final stages to go-live, and take ownership from Implementation at hand-off.
  • Turn recurring client issues into prioritised fixes and documentation improvements.

Accountabilities

  • Integration health and incident response times on your portfolio.
  • Clients migrated through API changes on schedule.
  • Technical scoping of expansion opportunities.
  • Client satisfaction with technical support.

Organised across many clients and requests.

Works well with account management, engineering and operations.

Diversity & inclusion

Equals is committed to building a workplace where everyone can be themselves. We actively welcome different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences, and we'll work with you to understand what you need to do your best work. We're an equal opportunities employer and proud of it.

We offer hybrid working across our teams, balancing time in the office — for collaboration, events and the relationships that make work rewarding — with the flexibility to work remotely where roles allow.
