About this opportunity
Join Ericsson and help build the future of observability.
BNEW RCE Lab Operations provides the infrastructure and platforms that enable R&D teams worldwide to develop, test, and deploy next-generation products. Within Hardware Management (HWM), we are building COS (Central Observability System), Ericsson's global observability platform used daily by thousands of developers and testers.
We are looking for a Software Engineer / DevSecOps Engineer with a passion for backend development, cloud-native technologies, and modern platform engineering.
COS is evolving into a product-driven platform where software development, automation, observability, and security come together. As part of the team, you will design and develop new capabilities, enhance platform services, and help shape the future developer experience for observability across Ericsson.
Our technology stack includes Go, Svelte, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra, running in a cloud-native environment.
If you enjoy building scalable services, solving complex technical challenges, and creating platforms that enable other engineers to move faster, we'd like to hear from you.
What you will do
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go.
Build modern web-based user experiences using Svelte and related frontend technologies.
Develop cloud-native applications and microservices running on Kubernetes.
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure software delivery practices.
Integrate observability into products through OpenTelemetry, metrics, logs, and tracing.
Explore and implement AI-driven capabilities that enhance monitoring, analytics, and operational workflows.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and platform engineers across Ericsson to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Drive continuous improvement through modern software engineering practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
The skills you bring
Strong software development experience, preferably in Go.
Experience building distributed systems, APIs, or cloud-native applications.
Familiarity with modern frontend development; experience with Svelte is highly meritorious.
Experience with AI platform engineering, MLOps, LLMOps, RAG solutions, or vector databases.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures.
Knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.
Understanding of observability technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
Experience working in agile product teams with a strong engineering mindset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a passion for learning new technologies.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a global environment.
"All academic credentials must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are further subject to verification."
