The opportunity
In the face of rapidly evolving cybersecurity threats, clients across all industries turn to EY for trusted solutions to their complex challenges. As a member of our Cybersecurity practice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside respected industry professionals, applying leading practices to strengthen cybersecurity across people, processes and technology.
EY is seeking a Cyber for SAP Manager to join our National Consulting Cybersecurity team and lead cybersecurity workstreams within SAP transformation programs. In this role, you will work across SAP, cybersecurity, risk and business teams to address security requirements early in strategy, architecture and design, while providing specialized guidance and developing tailored solutions that protect clients’ critical applications, data and information assets. This role requires a strong combination of SAP and cybersecurity expertise, strategic thinking and exceptional consulting skills to deliver practical solutions that support broader transformation objectives.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager in our Cyber for SAP team, your key responsibilities would include:
Execute and lead defined components of Cyber for SAP assessments, architecture and delivery workstreams across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, RISE with SAP and cloud-enabled transformation programs.
Assess and design capabilities across security architecture and Zero Trust, identity and privileged access management, data protection and privacy, cloud security, vulnerability management, secure application development, logging and monitoring, and incident response integration.
Translate enterprise cybersecurity policies and requirements into SAP-specific architecture decisions, controls, roadmaps and implementation requirements.
Facilitate client workshops, architecture reviews and executive discussions; communicate gaps, decisions, dependencies and recommended actions clearly.
Manage engagement scope, teams, timelines, deliverables and quality while coordinating closely with SAP functional, technical, Basis, security, GRC, and enterprise stakeholders.
Provide coaching to senior and junior resources, review technical deliverables, resolve cross-platform design issues, and escalate material risks when appropriate.
Build trusted client relationships and drive proposal development, solution design, and go-to-market initiatives.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong understanding of how cybersecurity capabilities intersect with SAP platforms, business processes, integrations and transformation delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workstream delivery and multidisciplinary teams, collaborating across functions to integrate cybersecurity throughout the SAP project lifecycle and translate complex technical issues into clear business and risk decisions.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with client executives, SAP program leaders, architects and cybersecurity stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in cybersecurity domains such as IAM/PAM, data protection, cloud security, security architecture, vulnerability management, application security, or security operations.
- Strong project management, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to provide trusted guidance on SAP and cybersecurity solutions.
- Commitment to service quality, professional integrity, collaboration, innovation and continuous learning.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 5+ years of relevant experience in security consulting, with a strong focus on cybersecurity architecture in SAP environments, transformation delivery, or related technology consulting, including experience leading teams or workstreams.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, Privacy, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge with SAP security architecture, SAP GRC, and SAP HANA cybersecurity concepts.
- Expertise in core cybersecurity domains such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Protection, and Vulnerability Management, with a specific focus on integration within the SAP landscape.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring teams and coordinating work across client stakeholders.
- Experience supporting business development activities, including solution shaping, proposal development, statements of work, and client presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced client environment.
- Ability to travel as required by client and engagement needs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Consulting experience with a focus on leading SAP transformation projects and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Experience with RISE with SAP, and SAP BTP ecosystems.
- Experience integrating SAP with enterprise identity, SIEM, vulnerability management, ITSM, SOAR, data protection or cloud security platforms.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, or SAP certifications in S/4HANA, SAP GRC, SAP BTP, or related technologies.
What we look for
We are looking for a collaborative, outcome-focused leader who can connect SAP transformation priorities with cybersecurity requirements. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between executive conversations, architecture decisions and hands-on delivery leadership without narrowing the role to traditional SAP access controls or GRC alone.
