We are currently recruiting for aData Protection Specialist (m/w/d) tosit within our European Information Security Team. This role will report into the Data Privacy Manager and be based in our offices inBerlin, Germany.

This highly collaborative role will support across our European marketsandwork closely with internal departments in both Germany and Poland as well as Global and Regional Information Security Officers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data protection, legal or compliance professional to step into a key subject matter expert role, supporting our teams across Germany and Poland. You will play an important part in providing practical guidance for the business, so we are looking for someone who can communicate clearly, build strong relationships and deliver engaging training and support to colleagues across different functions.

What you willbe responsible for

Supportingdata protection and AIprograms oftheFast RetailingGroup, led by Data Protection Officer (DPO).

Acting as the point of contact of business departments, supportfunctionsand management ondata protectionmatters.

Educating and training employees ondata protectionand AIcompliance responsibilities and obligations.

Identifying,raisingand addressing risk areas ofdata protectionin internal operations and projects.

Managedata protectionrelated incidents.

Assistingstakeholdersto conduct DPIAs.Review and follow up of resulting recommended action plans.

Conduct privacy checks and ensure that the data protection requirements are respected in our internal processes.

Manage the datasubjects'rights.

Implement actions to ensure compliance with relevant information managementpoliciesanddataprotection laws.

Collaboratewith members of Information Security Office teamsupporting the business teamsto conduct assessments of partners andprojectsin order toevaluate the risks for our customers and company, assessthe gap with our security and privacy policy requirements and follow remediations until completion.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

• More than4years' experienceindata protection,complianceor legal.
• Extensive knowledge ofdataprotection and AIlaws and practices.
• Ability to reflect legal requirements to activities/operational procedures.
• Excellent communication skills: verbal and written German and Englishareessential, Polish is desirable.
• Ability toprioritise work effectively.
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong senseof ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion.
• Strong capabilities on reporting activities.
• Cyber security technical backgroundis a plus.
• Appropriate privacy and technical and/or security certifications preferred. (e.g. CIPP/E,CIPM,AIGP,etc.)
