Finta Technology/Software

Partnerships Lead

San Francisco, CA In person Full-time

About Finta

Finta is building the finance platform startups should have had from day one.

Today that means AI-native accounting and taxes. We replace the bookkeeper and QuickBooks with software that categorizes 96% of transactions automatically and files a tax return in about thirty minutes.

We raised $2M from Y Combinator, Mercury’s CEO, and leaders at Mercury, Brex, and Ramp. Since launching in 2023, we have grown entirely through word of mouth to 600+ customers, including Resend, Onyx, Promptfoo, and Skyvern. Revenue has tripled every year, and we are profitable.

We did all of that with no salespeople, no marketing, and no partnerships. Now we are building GTM.

We are a small, high-caliber team with a bias for shipping. There are no layers here. You’ll work directly with Andy, the founder, who writes the code, holds the tax license that signs every return we file, and owns the product, the economics, and the YC relationship. The decisions you need get made in the room.

This is a founding role. We work together in person 5 days a week in San Francisco, near the Ferry Building, and expect people to take ownership without needing a lot of structure.

About the role

We’re hiring a Partnerships Lead to build Finta’s partner program from zero.

Every accelerator puts hundreds of newly incorporated companies through a program each year, and every one of them needs accounting and a tax return within months. The same is true of the platforms where founders open their first bank account or incorporate. Many of our customers come out of YC, but none of these partners point founders to us today.

There is no program yet. You’ll design the offer, the economics, and the tracking. There is no cash budget for partner marketing, but our marginal cost per customer is near zero, so you’ll have an unusually generous offer to put in front of partners. The offer is the budget.

You’ll own two channels

Accelerators: Techstars, Antler, a16z speedrun, South Park Commons, and the long tail

Platforms: Brex, Ramp, Mercury, Carta, Clerky, Stripe Atlas, and others where founders start their companies

What you’ll do

  • Build the partner program: tiering, the offer, the economics, landing pages, and attribution tracking
  • Get Finta into accelerator perk lists, resource pages, and the stack every new founder is handed in week one
  • Land integration listings, co-marketing, and spots in platform onboarding flows where Finta is the obvious next step
  • Create a partner kit a platform lead can forward without editing
  • Make partners produce. A signed partnership that sends nobody is worth zero, so you’re measured on activated signups, not logos
  • Build the playbook for how Finta grows through the startup ecosystem
  • You’ll be a good fit if you
  • Have built a partner program, not just signed partnerships, and think in activation and enablement
  • Know the startup ecosystem: accelerators, early-stage VC platform teams, or partnerships at a startup-facing fintech
  • Can name the revenue a partnership you built actually produced
  • Are a strong writer and a good marketer. Half this job is making the offer land once the relationship exists
  • Are deliberate about where your hours go and don’t wait to be told what matters this week
  • Can operate without a marketing team, brand recognition, or a cash budget behind you
  • Use AI tools daily to research, personalize outreach, and run a tighter system

You should not join Finta if

  • You measure success in logos signed rather than customers produced
  • You need a large team, big budget, or clear playbook to operate
  • You want a role that is mostly strategy and not hands-on execution
  • You are not excited about startups, YC, or founder communities
  • You’re tired of in-person work and want a remote job

How we’ll set your number

Nobody here has signed or activated a partner yet, so we don’t know the cycle or the yield, and we won’t invent a target. Partnerships compound slowly: a partner signed in month three reaches a cohort in month five, and those founders become customers over the following year.

So your first year is measured on the program you build and the partners you activate, not revenue, and your variable is paid quarterly against those milestones. We’ll set a revenue number together from what the first partners actually produce, and year two shifts weight to attributed revenue. This goes in your offer.

Why join

  • Build Finta’s partner channel from zero and own one of our most important GTM motions
  • Work directly with the founder
  • Bring partners an unusually generous offer
  • Build relationships across YC, accelerators, VCs, and the top startup platforms
  • Join a profitable team with 600+ customers, strong organic growth, and top-tier investors

Compensation and benefits

  • $165k-190k OTE (65/35 base/variable), variable paid quarterly against partner milestones and activated accounts with accelerators, plus meaningful equity
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Meals, gym membership, and professional education benefits
  • Monthly team events and annual company offsite
  • Visa sponsorship and relocation support available

Important

  • In addition to applying, please email andy at finta dot com with:
  • A partnership you built that produced real revenue
  • How long it took from the first conversation to that partner’s first customer

  • We go from first call to offer in about 14 days, and you’ll hear from us after every round.
  • Intro interview (30 mins)
  • Working session
