Position Summary

The Data Engineer solves challenging data integration problems using optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, and query techniques across structured and unstructured data sources. The role builds cloud-native, reusable data products and AI-ready capabilities, applying real-time processing, automation, observability, metadata, and governance to support analytics, data science, and AI-enabled solutions.

Role Specific Essential Functions

AI-Native Infrastructure & Real-Time Processing

• Engineer AI-native infrastructure supporting real-time data processing
• Build semantic layers and knowledge graphs enabling intelligent query routing and context-aware data access
• Develop infrastructure for agentic AI systems with multi-agent orchestration
• Implement GenAI-powered data quality, entity resolution, and metadata management Data-as-a-Product Delivery
• Build and maintain data products from ingestion to consumption in collaboration with the team
• Deliver data products with clear SLAs, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction measures
• Build self-service platforms with embedded governance, lineage, and discovery
• Establish data contracts and APIs for reliable, versioned data consumption
• Build high-quality pipelines supporting analysts, data scientists, and AI agents
• Implement CDC and event-driven architectures for real-time data availability
• Deploy infrastructure-as-code using CDK/Terraform

Role Specific Expectations and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2–5 years of overall relevant experience encompassing data warehousing; custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance; object-oriented programming languages; schema design and dimensional data modeling; and authoring SQL statements
• Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies
• Experience managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/BA in Technical Field, Computer Science or Mathematics
• Experience working with either a MapReduce or an MPP system
• Knowledge and practical application of Python
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies.

Location: Hillsboro, OR | Marlborough/Chelmsford, MA

Target Compensation: $104K- $125K + Annual Bonus

Schedule: Mon- Friday: 8am- 5pm (Hybrid)
