Quebec, Canada In person Full-time

Join Our Team at Foliot Furniture!

At Foliot Furniture, we’re more than just a leading manufacturer—we’re a team of innovators, problem-solvers, and hard workers. We are an international company with 3 locations (Saint-Jérôme, Las Vegas and Mirabel). Known for our commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainability, we take pride in designing and building exceptional furniture while fostering a workplace where employees thrive.

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager – Financial Planning and Analysis to lead our financial planning and commercial business partnering activities. Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A and Business Partnering, the incumbent leads a team of analysts and turns financial and commercial data into analysis, recommendations and decisions that improve the company's profitability.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the budgeting, financial forecasting and long-term planning processes, and bring discipline to their monthly phasing: reliable numbers, defensible assumptions and explained variances;
  • Lead, develop and engage the FP&A analyst team, raising the standard of analysis and the team's presence with the business;
  • Act as a business partner to Sales and Business Development: assess the profitability of customers, products, markets and projects, and challenge the assumptions behind commercial decisions;
  • Protect margin: analyze margins by product, customer, market and project, flag drift early and propose corrective action plans;
  • Oversee comparative analyses of selling prices, recommend pricing strategies tailored to different markets, and ensure quotes comply with price lists and discount controls;
  • Prepare, analyze and present financial dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs) and monthly results for senior management;
  • Analyze changes in market share, industry trends and competitive positioning to support strategic decisions;
  • Build the scenarios, financial analyses and business cases that support investment, contract and growth decisions;
  • Coordinate with the operations finance partner to measure the impact of manufacturing costs on commercial margins;
  • Ensure the integrity of financial and pricing data in the SAP system;
  • Identify, recommend and implement improvements to processes, financial tools and analytical models, and contribute to financial systems improvement projects;
  • Present financial analyses and recommendations to senior management and support decision-making processes.

What You Bring

  • Strong ability to influence managers and act as a business partner;
  • Ability to understand what drives the results, ask the right questions and challenge constructively;
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and financial literacy skills;
  • Inspiring leadership and the ability to develop a team's skills;
  • Strategic thinking, a sense of priorities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Diligence, independence, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn data into concrete recommendations that improve business performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field;

7 to 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), finance, or a similar role;

2+ years of experience supervising analysts or professionals;

CPA designation, a significant asset;

Experience in a manufacturing environment, a significant asset;

Experience in commercial finance or partnering with sales teams, a significant asset;

Good knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP, and of analytics tools (Power BI, SAC);

Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, and financial forecasting;

Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written), to support our Canadian and U.S. markets.
