AI Engineer

• GameStop is looking for an Applied AI Engineer who combines hands-on AI capability with strong business judgment.
• We want a highly motivated individual with tremendous work ethic who can identify a major business problem, understand its economics, build a solution using AI, and demonstrate measurable results.
• We're interested in what you've actually built, who's using it, and the impact it's delivered.
• You'll work directly with Ryan Cohen and the GameStop team to improve how the business operates.

What You'll Do

• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce costs, improve inventory decisions, save time, and better serve customers.
• Prioritize problems based on business impact and the effort required to solve them.
• Build and deploy AI agents, applications, and automated workflows.
• Connect AI to business systems, databases, documents, and operational processes.
• Work directly with the people using your solutions and continuously improve them based on real-world results.
• Measure accuracy, reliability, operating costs, adoption, and financial impact.

What We're Looking For

Strong Business Judgment

Understand how companies make money, where resources are wasted, and which problems deserve attention.

Focus on measurable business outcomes rather than technology for its own sake.

Hands-On Technical Ability

Build solutions personally, from initial concept through production deployment.

Combine AI models, code, APIs, data, and automation tools to solve real business problems.

Demonstrated Results

• Have a track record of applying AI to meaningful business challenges.
• Can show working systems, real-world adoption, and measurable outcomes.
• Ownership and Urgency
• Operate independently with a strong bias for action.
• Move quickly, overcome obstacles, and take responsibility for results.
• Remain accountable for your solutions after deployment.

Clear Communication

Explain complex technical solutions in straightforward business terms.

Demonstrate what you built, why it matters, and how you know it works.

How to Apply

Applications must include proof of work.

Submit your resume or professional profile along with one or two examples of significant problems you've solved using AI.

For each example, include

• The Problem: What was happening, who was affected, and why it mattered.
• Your Solution: What you built and how AI contributed.
• Your Contribution: What you personally designed, implemented, integrated, and operated.
• The Results: Before-and-after measurements, timeframe, scale, and costs. Clearly distinguish measured results from estimates.
• The Evidence: A working product, recorded demo, code sample, architecture walkthrough, or documented case study.
• At least one example must demonstrate a solution deployed and used in an actual business environment.
• Redacted examples and confidential interview walkthroughs are welcome. Please do not share proprietary information without permission.

What to Expect

Be prepared to demonstrate your work and explain the technical decisions, tradeoffs, failures, and improvements behind it.

We're looking for builders who deliver measurable business results, not people who simply understand AI concepts.

Location

Remote candidates will be considered, with some time required in Dallas, Texas.
