About the role

DT Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial function for the Majors Creek Solar Power Station Project, a major renewable energy development near Woodstock, approximately 40km south of Townsville.

Based at our Brisbane Head Office, you will work closely with project leadership and the wider commercial team to drive commercial performance across the project. From developing procurement strategies and managing contractual obligations to overseeing cost control, forecasting and commercial risk, you will play a key role in protecting DTI’s commercial interests and supporting successful project delivery.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of key commercial outcomes on a significant renewable energy project, combining hands-on commercial management with strategic input, stakeholder engagement and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of commercial and procurement strategies, ensuring effective tendering, subcontract administration and alignment with DTI’s commercial frameworks.
  • Manage head contract and subcontract obligations, including variations, claims, contractual notices, negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Oversee project cost control, revenue and cost forecasting, cash flow, financial reporting and performance against budget.
  • Identify, assess and manage commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate contractual risk allocation, compliance and commercial governance.
  • Lead and develop the commercial team while partnering with project leadership, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.

About you

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in commercial management at a comparable level, with extensive experience across construction, engineering, mining or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, head contract and subcontract administration, contract negotiations, variations, claims and dispute management.
  • Proven capability in project cost control, financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow management and commercial risk assessment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and develop high-performing teams.
