FLIGHT DECK Leader – DES Enabling Functions

Job Description Summary

As part of the Defense Engines & Services (DES) FLIGHT DECK Leadership team, this role drives transformation through FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s lean operating model, serving as the Total Productive Management (TPM) Transformation Leader for Lynn Operations, DES & Lynn Quality, and Infrastructure.

Bridging the operations and transactional sides of the organization, this role champions lean transformation, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and provides lean and TPM education, training, and support.

This role will require up to 25% Travel.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader, DES, this role serves as coach, facilitator, and advocate, driving understanding and adoption of FLIGHT DECK and TPM. This will be accomplished through:
• Partnering with operations and transactional leaders to prioritize and solve problems based on voice of the customer and voice of the process.
• Leading Total Productive Management (TPM) deployment, including planned maintenance, equipment reliability, and facilities readiness, in close partnership with the Lynn Operations maintenance function.
• Implementing and coaching the Daily Management process, including daily management meetings, genba walks, and Kata coaching cycles.
• Championing kaizen and facilitating kaizen events to drive improvements.
• Coaching and developing team members at all levels to build lean skills, effective KPIs, action plans, problem solving, and operating cadences that drive sustainable results.
• Delivering step-change performance improvement through execution of Hoshin Kanri improvement priorities and action planning.
• Bridging operations and transactional teams to ensure consistent FLIGHT DECK and TPM practices.
• Working with colleagues to quickly deploy new, best-practice capability and processes.
• Embracing lean, digital tools, and rigorous prioritization to drive continuous improvement and increase employee and customer satisfaction.
• Sharing best practices across GE Aerospace Defense & Systems.
