Own the overarching architecture, interfaces, and data models across multiple services. Define the technical roadmap, identifying scalability bottlenecks, architectural risks, and structural tech debt before they impact velocity or reliability. Provide technical direction and guidance to individual project/stream tech leads (typically mid-level and executive engineers), ensuring localized technical decisions do not conflict with organizations wide goals.
Identify cross-team architectural and technical dependencies, resolve conflicting technical priorities, and eliminate single points of failure. Write code for high-risk proof-of-concepts, shared foundational libraries, or critical-path components while delegating day-to-day feature implementation to Development teams.
