Establish, execute, and oversee Google’s overarching strategy and energy regulatory posture before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland (PJM) Interconnection, proactively managing energy regulatory proceedings and stakeholder processes across our growing energy infrastructure portfolio. Assess federal and PJM regulatory environments, capacity reforms, transmission, and interconnection queues to mitigate risk and optimize Google’s speed-to-power infrastructure initiatives.
Direct strategic regulatory filings and approvals before FERC and PJM stakeholder committees, securing key authorizations for asset acquisitions, project structures, and commercial power arrangements. Partner cross-functionally to evaluate innovative power structures, ensuring full compliance with FERC and PJM requirements. Lead energy regulatory oversight across complex commercial transactions, utility interconnections, and PJM queue processes, translating intricate federal and Regional Transport Office (RTO) regulatory policies into clear roadmaps to mitigate risk, prevent interconnection bottlenecks, and accelerate speed to power.
