A look into the role

As our Campaigns Lead, you’ll own the campaign engine at the heart of our marketing – turning campaign requests from across the firm into clear, qualified briefs and sequenced plans that our channel teams can deliver. Sitting within Commercial Growth & Strategy and reporting to the Head of Demand Generation, you’ll be the single point of accountability for campaign quality, consistency and pace across our campaign portfolio.

As our campaign volume and complexity grow, you’ll make sure campaigns are prioritised against finite capacity rather than run ad hoc, that each one is measured against the commercial impact it was set up to achieve, and that lessons from one campaign shape the next. This is a hybrid role that can be based at any of our UK offices, with travel to London as needed.

This is a newly formed team, created as part of our marketing transformation. Our campaign framework is in place, and your job is to bring it to life: upskilling the team, making it work in practice and getting everyone working in a consistent way. With the team only just brought together, you’ll have real scope to shape how it works and moves forward, supported by two strong managers already in the team.

In this role, you’ll

Work with go-to-market (GTM) leads to turn business needs into scoped, qualified campaign briefs, with clear objectives, audiences and success measures linked to commercial outcomes

Own and evolve our campaign framework across always-on, integrated, brand, proposition-launch, segment, account-based marketing (ABM), event and reactive campaigns

Hold the campaign calendar and, with the Head of Demand Generation, decide how competing campaign requests are prioritised and sequenced

Partner with Digital Marketing, Channel Marketing and Events, Content, Design and Communications so campaigns are planned and resourced together

Run governance and quality checkpoints from brief through to campaign close, and lead post-campaign reviews so lessons feed into future campaigns

Own campaign-level performance reporting, giving GTM leads and sector and service line teams a consistent view of how their campaigns are performing

Own and develop our AI-assisted campaign briefing tools, and set the standard for responsible use of AI in campaign planning

Lead and develop the Campaigns team of around eight people, including three managers, setting the standard for how briefs are scoped and campaigns are run

Knowing you’re right for us

We’ve set ambitious growth targets for the firm, and we need the right people to help us achieve these. We’re looking for people who will bring ambition and drive to their role. In changing markets, we need to be able to work at pace and be adaptable to change and to be curious, asking questions of ourselves, each other and our clients to ensure we are delivering the services and quality we expect.

Joining us as Campaigns Lead at Senior Manager level, the minimum criteria you’ll need is proven experience leading a multi-channel campaign function at a senior level, including managing and developing a campaign team.

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way:

You’ll have experience within professional services, financial services, another regulated environment or a B2B organisation

You’ll have a track record of briefing and prioritising competing campaign demand against finite capacity

You’ll be able to turn an ambiguous business ask into a scoped, qualified brief quickly

You’ll have strong stakeholder management skills, able to hold the line on priorities with senior leaders while working as a collaborative peer to channel leads

You’ll bring commercial acumen and a data-driven approach, connecting campaign results back to business outcomes

You’ll bring a modern approach to campaign planning, beyond traditional marketing, including customer journey mapping, segmentation, and using interest and intent signals to guide campaigns

You’ll have experience using a content management platform and CRM-based reporting, ideally Microsoft Dynamics

You’ll be curious about how AI can improve the way campaigns are briefed and planned

You’ll be a self-starter who takes ownership, sets direction and moves things forward independently, bringing in the right people when you need support

Knowing we’re right for you

The culture at Grant Thornton is what sets us apart, we’re known for our inclusive culture and creating environments where all our people can flourish. The things that set you apart, we value them, and this helps us all to perform at our best.

Our values are the unwavering principles that shape our daily behaviours and decisions, alongside our drive to do the right thing. We’re looking for people who align with our values and are purposefully driven, actively curious and candid but kind. You can learn more about our values in practice here.

It’s not just about our culture and values, in addition to a competitive salary and reward package, you’ll also get:

  • Tailored development programmes and access to coaching
  • Flexible bank holidays – allowing you to celebrate the days that are important to you
  • Benefits including pension, life assurance and private medical, additional holiday purchasing and health benefits
  • And benefits giving you access to shopping discounts, gym memberships, financial advice

How we work

We have a trust-based way of working, driven by responsible people who have the best interests of our firm and our clients at heart. Our how we work framework gives flexibility in where, how, and when we work to deliver the best results for our clients, whilst helping you keep a balance between work and life. Life is more than work, the things you do, and the people you’re with outside of work matter, that’s why we’re happy to look at flexible working options for all our roles. That is how it should be.

We’re looking for people who can help drive the business forward, who want to contribute, spark fresh ideas and go beyond expectations.
