Purchasing Assistant

• ·Manage all relevant purchasing data, ensuring the accuracy of order confirmations, lead times, customer promised dates, and other pertinent data within the ERP system and other relevant systems
• ·Maintain system data integrity concerning adjustment entries.
• ·Track the shipping progress of raw materials/parts to ensure adherence to schedules and delivery commitments, promptly informing appropriate personnel of any issues. Expedite the production of parts as required.
• ·Follow up on overdue purchase orders and provide updated delivery dates.
• ·Support the purchaser with daily purchasing activities, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and data maintenance.
• ·Generate routine reports on shipment statuses.
• ·Maintain regular contact with suppliers/vendors, addressing and resolving purchasing and supply chain issues.
• ·Handles the acknowledgement of materials and maintenance of purchasing records.
• ·Maintains and updates list of qualified suppliers.
• ·Able to manage ambiguity in researching projects and troubleshooting.
• ·Assist and/or manage building vendors and maintenance. Including scheduling, repairs, and compliance.
• ·Support the company’s values and strategic goals.

Requirements

• ·High school diploma or GED required.
• ·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• ·1+ years ERP software experience required.
• ·Prior experience in a purchasing environment highly preferred.
• ·Excellent organizational as well as communication skills and attention to detail.
• ·Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
