The Senior Accountant works with the Controller to handle general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles, analysis, and reconciliation of accounts. This person will report directly to the Controller and work hand in hand with the other members of the Accounting Team and must be able to work amicably with a variety of personalities while maintaining professionalism while applying a broad knowledge of advanced accounting methods and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform various reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliation and investigating discrepancies.
- Maintains and sets vendors.
- Processes internal company invoicing.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable and Account Payable functions.
- Participate in various month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Assists with the reviewing of weekly payroll.
- Processes daily receipts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minim 5 years' experience in contracting business or accounting.
- 3+ years of senior level accounting experience.
- Full knowledge of GAAP.

Education
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent.
