The Senior Full Stack Engineer is a hands-on technical lead role. This role has broad scope across the full stack, including front-end, back-end, database, integrations, and hosting, for the Wisconsin Medicaid Market. The role emphasizes autonomy and ownership while setting technical direction, driving platform consistency, and mentoring engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
This position blends day-to-day software engineering with technical leadership. It involves modernizing legacy systems, reducing technical debt, and establishing consistent platform patterns. These efforts span across two independent health plan technology stacks. The role also promotes modern engineering practices (CI/CD, infrastructure and security as code, automated testing, and observability) and expects responsible use of Humana-approved AI and code generation tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer is responsible for design, development, and modernization of applications and platforms that support the Wisconsin Medicaid Market. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and trust, owning solutions end-to-end across the full stack rather than being confined to a single application or technology area.
