Through a combination of strategy, expertise, and creativity, we help clients accelerate operational, digital, and cultural transformation, enabling the change they need to own their future.

Join Huron’s HDTx Payer Services team and help health plans, provider-sponsored plans, payviders, and healthcare organizations improve how they configure, optimize, and operate Epic Tapestry. As an Epic Tapestry Configuration Senior Associate, you will support hands-on build, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation efforts across key payer and managed care workflows, including claims, contracts, benefits, eligibility and enrollment, utilization management, authorizations, provider data, premium billing, accounts payable, CRM, and related integrations.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented Epic Tapestry professional who enjoys translating business requirements and contract language into accurate system configuration, partnering with operations and IT teams, validating build quality through testing, and supporting successful client outcomes in a consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, build, maintain, and optimize Epic Tapestry applications, with a focus on areas such as AP Claims, Claims Administration, Contracts, Benefits Engine, Membership/Enrollment and Eligibility, Utilization Management, Service Authorizations, Provider Data, CRM, Accounts Payable, and Premium Billing.

Translate business, operational, regulatory, and contract requirements into Epic Tapestry configuration, system design decisions, workflows, and documentation.

Configure provider contracts, fee schedules, pricing logic, benefits, claim editing rules, referrals, authorizations, eligibility files, and related payer/payvider workflows as needed.

Support full build lifecycle activities, including requirements review, design, configuration, unit testing, integrated testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, approvals, and production migration.

Create and maintain clear documentation for build specifications, configuration decisions, test scripts, process flows, change control, and operational support procedures.

Troubleshoot complex Epic Tapestry issues related to claims adjudication, underpayments/overpayments, contract configuration, benefits, eligibility, authorizations, provider setup, work queues, and downstream integrations.

Partner with business stakeholders, payer operations, provider contracting, claims, enrollment, utilization management, finance, compliance, IT, Epic technical teams, and other application teams to resolve issues and deliver high-quality solutions.

Support Epic implementations, optimizations, upgrades, cutover activities, go-lives, stabilization, and hyper-care support.

Use tools such as Data Courier, Build Mover/content management, ServiceNow, Jira, SharePoint, Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Caboodle, or other client tools as required by the project.

Help identify configuration impacts, testing needs, risks, and dependencies across upstream and downstream systems, including EDI and payer platform integrations.

Participate in project governance activities, status reporting, issue tracking, action item follow-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide knowledge transfer, training, and support to client teams, analysts, and project stakeholders.
