We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Data Management team in Pune, India. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable software and data solutions while driving technical solutions for complex engineering problems.
You will work across the software development lifecycle, building reliable applications, services, APIs, and data pipelines while adopting modern cloud-native and AI-assisted engineering practices. Your primary responsibilities will include: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications, services, APIs, and data solutions. Build reliable data processing, transformation, integration, and storage capabilities. Apply modern software engineering practices across the complete SDLC, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment. Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development practices to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, documentation, automation, and engineering workflows.
Identify and implement opportunities to use AI agents for automating repetitive software and data management tasks. Build and maintain CI/CD, automation, observability, and monitoring capabilities to improve reliability and developer productivity. Apply cloud-native technologies and practices to build scalable and resilient systems. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and continuously improve performance, quality, security, and maintainability.
Collaborate with software, data, and platform engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions. Contribute to technical design, code reviews, documentation, and engineering standards. What you will bring Strong software engineering experience building scalable and maintainable applications or services. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or similar. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, and software design principles.
Experience with SQL and relational and/or NoSQL databases. Experience building data-intensive applications, services, or pipelines. Experience with cloud-native development, automation, testing, and CI/CD practices. Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development, AI agents, and Agentic SDLC. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and ownership skills. Curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies.
The following experience is considered a plus Familiarity with open source or inner source development and processes.
