So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.

The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.

Your Team

IG Consumer's social media presence is established and growing across UK and this role exists to take it further. As Social Media Exec, you will support delivery of IG's social strategy across key channels and markets. This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about content, organised, quick and eager to drive growth in a fast paced regulated environment.

Your role in the Team’s Success

This role sits within the Content & Social team, reporting into the Senior Social Media Manager. The team is responsible for how IG shows up across owned social channels — from editorial content to social storytelling — and works closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, PR, Product and Compliance.

What you’ll do

Key Responsibilities

  • Content & publishing
  • Schedule, publish and proof social content across channels, following the agreed content calendar and platform guidelines
  • Support the Senior Social Media Manager in producing and formatting content for campaigns, product launches and always on activity
  • Help adapt content for different platforms and formats, ensuring assets are correctly sized, tagged and platform native
  • Shoot and edit short-form video content for social channels (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) end to end
  • Support the production of short form native video and simple creative assets for social channels – hands on filming and concepting included
  • Add captions, motion graphics and on-brand templates to video and static content ensuring a consistent look and feel across channels
  • Community & monitoring
  • Monitor social channels daily, flagging comments, mentions and issues that need a response or escalation
  • Respond to routine community queries in line with agreed tone of voice and escalation guidelines
  • Keep track of what’s trending on our channels and competitor channels, feeding observations back to the wider team to define strategy and reactive content

Reporting

  • Pull together regular performance reporting (reach, engagement, growth) from analytics tools to support publishing, content and marketing strategy
  • Maintain the content calendar and asset library
  • Support influencer and partner activity – contracting paperwork, briefing documents, content tracking

Team & Stakeholders

Work closely with Creative, PR, Brand Marketing, CRM and Compliance to move content through the approval process and deliver campaigns on time

What You'll Need

Role Requirements

  • Experience in a social media, content or digital marketing role with a genuine interest in social platforms and content
  • Strong attention to detail, and good written communication skills with an ear for tone of voice across different platforms and audiences
  • Experience working in financial services or a similarly regulated industry, or a passion for trading & investing
  • Experience of integrating AI in Workflows or an interest in learning how to do so.
  • Confident shooting and editing short-form videos, including captioning, sound, templated motion graphics, comfortable owning a cutdown from raw footage to publishing without needing a video editor
  • Experience using tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar

Desirable

  • Experience growing and managing social channels for a large B2C consumer brand across multiple markets.
  • Experience with After Effects or motion graphics for short form video
  • Familiarity with social analytics or listening tools
  • Community management experience, including audience engagement and moderation.
  • A European language.

The perks

It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognise your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on. Competitive salary
