So, who are we?
IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.
The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.
Join us at IG – the future gets built here.
Your role in the team's success
This role sits within the Content team, reporting into the Senior Video Producer. The team produces sharp, engaging content across live shows, podcasts, and social platforms, with a focus on storytelling, speed, and digital-first distribution. You will work closely with producers, presenters, and the social team, collaborating daily to improve editorial quality and grow IG's audience across channels. This is a strategic creative leadership role that directly impacts content performance and business outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Edit full episodes of IG's preproduced and live content for YouTube, and cut podcast recordings for distribution across all major platforms.
- Shape content strategy and format development for shows and podcasts, working with producers on what stories to tell and how, not just how they're cut
- Define and own the creative and technical standards for video output across the team — briefing, style, pacing, and QC — acting as the final creative authority on edit quality before content goes live
- Record and edit purpose-made social content with on-air presenters, preparing assets for the social team to distribute.
- Brief, direct, and manage freelance editors and contract resource as required, ensuring output meets brand and editorial standards.
- Create motion graphics video content for YouTube from brief, applying colour grading, audio mixing, and sound design to a consistently high production standard.
- Craft compelling narratives in both long-form and short-form formats, with a strong instinct for pacing, tone, and structure.
- Identify format and platform opportunities ahead of the curve, and pitch these into the content strategy rather than waiting to be briefed.
- Collaborate with producers, presenters, and the social team to refine the editorial process and optimise output across all channels.
- Act as the video/creative point of contact in cross-functional planning with producers, presenters, and social, shaping how concepts translate into content rather than receiving a finished brief.
What You'll Need
- Senior experience editing both long-form and short-form video content, with a strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling, pacing, and production quality.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the broader Creative Suite, including After Effects.
- Track record of shaping content or creative strategy, not just executing to brief - able to bring an independent creative point of view to the table
- Experience briefing and managing freelance or contract creative resource, including quality control and creative direction of others' output
- Confident with colour grading, audio editing, and motion graphics to a professional standard.
- Solid understanding of social media platforms, content formats, and what drives engagement across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
- Ability to work at pace and turn around edits quickly, including in a live environment.
- Experience setting or improving an edit workflow, and mentoring or quality-checking the work of less experienced editors.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and creatively driven, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
