About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. You will turn ideas into clear, engaging videos for our clients and for Alien Design’s own brand. You will work closely with our designers, project managers, and the founders, so we need someone who is comfortable working with a team and taking feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end video documentation of company sessions, founder talks, meetings, and events.
• Convert raw recordings into engaging storytelling videos.
• Own the complete video process, from reviewing footage and building narratives to editing and publishing.
• Establish consistent video formats and storytelling styles aligned with Alien Design's brand.
• Collaborate with founders and team members to understand content and identify key highlights.
• Create long-form videos primarily for YouTube and repurpose relevant content for LinkedIn.
• Handle transitions, text animations, motion graphics, sound editing, and color correction.
• Maintain organized project files, footage, and publishing schedules.

Requirements

• Experience in video editing or video production, with a strong portfolio or showreel.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Strong storytelling skills and the ability to turn raw footage into engaging content.
• Ability to identify key moments and build narratives from long recordings.
• Understanding of YouTube and LinkedIn video formats.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics, sound editing, and colour correction.
• Ability to independently manage the complete video workflow, from editing to publishing.
• Creative thinking and willingness to build content formats from scratch.
• Good communication, time management, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work five days a week from the Perungudi office, Chennai.
• Nice to Have
• Experience with Figma, Lottie or Rive.
• Knowledge of 3D or motion design tools.
• Basic skills in shooting or scripting.
