The DevOps Engineer will build and operate the delivery pipeline for a cloud platform migration and establish an automated upgrade framework that can be reused for subsequent application upgrades. The role focuses on infrastructure as code, containerization, CI/CD automation, platform configuration, upgrade tooling integration and migration cut over support, working closely with application teams to deliver reliable and timely outcomes.
Key Responsibility
- Provision cloud environments through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring every environment, including Production, is built from consistent definitions.
- Containerize Java and front-end applications; establish base images and a scheduled container image-patching process.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, security scanning and deployment across multiple repositories.
- Configure scaling, networking, ingress, secrets and monitoring for the target platform.
- Integrate automated upgrade tooling—including dependency scanning, migration recipes and approval workflows—into the delivery pipeline.
- Configure API gateway traffic switching and establish the rollback path to the existing platform.
- Support platform cut over, hyper care and decommissioning of the legacy platform.
- Maintain job scheduling configuration when deployment targets change.
- Coordinate with application teams and understand their technical and delivery requirements.
- Proactively investigate and resolve issues, debug independently, deliver assigned tasks on time and maintain a collaborative, approachable working relationship with stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills
- Production experience with Azure Container Apps or Kubernetes, including ingress, scaling and workload configuration.
- Infrastructure as Code, with hands-on Terraform experience.
- CI/CD pipelines, including multi-repository build and release processes.
- Docker, container image management and vulnerability scanning.
- Cloud networking, including virtual networks, subnets, outbound address management and private endpoints.
- Secrets management and managed identity.
- Building and deploying Java and Node.js applications
Preferred Skills
- Experience with platform or hosting migrations in a production environment.
- API gateway traffic management and routing.
- Enterprise job scheduling tools.
- Dependency automation tools such as Renovate or Dependable.
- Experience working in regulated or business-critical environments.
Requirements

Job Specific Skills
- Azure Container Apps or Kubernetes in production, including ingress, scaling and workload configuration.
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices for consistent environment provisioning.
- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance for multi-repository build and release.
- Docker, container image management and vulnerability scanning.
- Cloud networking: virtual networks, subnets, outbound address management and private endpoints.
- Secrets management and managed identity.
- Building and deploying Java and Node.js applications.
- Desirable exposure to production platform migrations, API gateway routing, enterprise job scheduling, Renovate/Dependable and regulated or business-critical environments.
