About GalaxEye

  • GalaxEye is a
  • space technology company building OptoSAR, which fuses SAR and EO imagery to
  • strengthen ISR capability for defence and intelligence users. Alongside it, we
  • offer AI-powered image and decision intelligence solutions that fuse multiple
  • sensors into one secure, air-gapped and robust system for intelligence fusion
  • and targeting.

Role summary

  • This is not a
  • desk job, and it is not one job. As a Forward Deployed Engineer (Image
  • Analyst), you will work where space meets AI: inside the user's operations
  • room, turning satellite imagery and AI models into intelligence that decides
  • what happens next. You will help build the product, hear directly from the
  • people who rely on it, spot the next product before anyone asks for it, and
  • research the use-cases that shape where GalaxEye goes. You will work closely
  • with the Deployment Strategist, senior FDEs and our product and AI teams.

Why this role

ØWork

at the frontier: SAR-EO fusion and AI-driven intelligence are being built now,

and few people anywhere get to deploy them in the field.

ØSee

your impact: your feedback and ideas go straight into the product, and you see

them land with real users.

ØGrow

in every direction: engineering, analysis, user engagement and product

thinking.

Key responsibilities

Your work spans four

areas, all grounded in hands-on imagery analysis with users in the field.

ØProduct

  • development
  • ·Analyse and exploit SAR
  • and EO imagery for object detection, change detection, classification and
  • reporting, and help turn proven analyses into product features
  • ·Tune detection and
  • classification parameters and AI models against real operational data
  • ·Carry out GIS and DEM
  • work: layers, coordinate systems, raster and vector processing
  • ·Test new releases in
  • the field and work with engineering to improve accuracy, usability and
  • performance

ØDirect

  • user interface and feedback
  • ·Act as the first point
  • of technical contact for your assigned user segment
  • ·Run demonstrations,
  • trials and evaluations at user sites, and train users on the platform
  • ·Keep live deployments
  • running in air-gapped environments, including updates, troubleshooting and
  • regular analysis reports
  • ·Capture user feedback
  • systematically and escalate platform issues with clear, reproducible detail

ØNew

  • product ideas and opportunities
  • ·Spot gaps between what
  • users need and what the platform offers today, and turn them into product ideas
  • ·Identify new user
  • segments and missions where SAR-EO fusion and AI can add value
  • ·Pitch ideas to the
  • product team with a clear problem statement, user value and supporting evidence

Must-have

ØTechnical

  • ·Degree in remote
  • sensing, geoinformatics, geography, physics, electronics, computer science or a
  • related field
  • ·Hands-on interpretation
  • of SAR and/or EO imagery, through work, projects or research
  • ·Working knowledge of
  • QGIS or ArcGIS
  • ·Python for geospatial
  • processing (e.g. GDAL, rasterio, geopandas)

strong verbal and written communication, with a confident non-verbal presence

(body language, active listening) in front of senior users

·Presentation

  • clear briefings and demonstrations for both technical and non-technical
  • audiences
  • ·Ability to train: can
  • teach users and colleagues, and explain complex imagery and AI outputs simply

·Adaptability

comfortable with changing requirements, frequent travel and offline, secure

environments

·Soft skills

empathy, teamwork, ownership and composure under pressure

·Reporting

clear, concise written reports

·Problem-solving

  • curiosity and a structured approach to problems with no ready answer
  • Working conditions and
  • eligibility
  • Based in
  • Delhi, with on-site deployment in secure, air-gapped facilities where
  • connectivity is limited

Regular

travel to user sites for short evaluation periods
